Armada Interior Exorcism + Mustang/Rav4 Combo

Another big help from Joey "smoknfastlegend" for the help. Knew I was going to need Joeys help for this one and luckily he was free today.



Owner wanted to get his wifes SUV cleaned up before they went on their vacation. He warned me it was pretty bad...and well I did not think it could be that bad. I was wrong. Had a tight time schedule to work a miracle on this thing and got as absolute much as I could put into it forcing in 9 man hours into it. Missed his deadline by 30 minutes, which sucks. Owned dropped it off and I was able to get started at 10am and had till 2pm to get it finished.



Anyways, thing came out great. Took as many pictures as I could fit in.



Process:



CG Citrus Wash

Grime Reaper 3:1 on the Tires

Diablo Wheel Gel on the rims.



Interior...

Green Clean to wipe down all the seats and plastics

2:30 hours of pure vacuuming w/ a Rubber Pet Hair brush always by my side

Pressure washer, scrub brush and 2:1 Megs APC+ on the floormatts

3:1 APC+ mixture to soak some of the pockets and other areas

303 on all seats

CG Natural Shine on the dash

When it got here, do a quick wash on it.

Then when those were done, I had two of my customers wanting to get their usual 6 month clean ups. Each got my Basic Full Detail Package...so it was a fun busy LONG day. He and his wife get the same done on each of their vehicles. So...by that time we were already wore out. Ordered some pizza and Joey and I got started till it got there. Stopped for a 15 minute break after gunning it for 6 hours straight.



Each got the same process, but luckily each were still clean from the last time, so claying was not needed...

Windows w/ Megs Window Concentrate

*Mustang* Tires w/ Optimum Tire Gel

nice job guys, thats got to be big money! no way I would have touched that for less than 250 interior alone! I hate jobs like that because of the OCD in me and it will never be good enough, but some times you just have to say its good as its going to get without replacing

Ah yeah big baby...I at least gave you some gloves to wear while working on it. Plus, least you werent the one vacuuming for almost 3 hours straight. I got to see and sift through the grime up close and personal.

It was a decent job...though I am pretty sure I underquoted it. Its rare that I get just interior jobs, so I do not have a base price to work from. Well this one set it. lol

When i get horror shows like that kinda truck, my sole intension is to make it cleaner than when it came to me. I don't worry so much about the finishing process (ie, dressings etc-b/c those alone can take an a long time to apply evenly).

To be honest, its really just the circumstances of why its dirty. They own a animal grooming shop and they just cannot get all the hair off themselves when they leave...plus its little kids. He gave up keeping it clean for his wife, because she doesnt make the utmost effort to try and keep it clean.

I just wished, I was not under a time crunch to get it done. I could have spent about another 1-2 hours on just the floormatts.

Yeah I tried to devote as much time to cleaning things as possible, but when times over lapped and a few minutes were able to do a quick/thin application of 303 or Natural Shine, I took advantage of it. Better to spend 10 available minutes to making some look its best, rather starting a 20 minute minimum effort in another area, when the customer is set to pick the vehicle back up in 15 minutes.

kinda like when you went to your old maid Aunt's house and every damn piece of furniture had plastic on it!

Yeah...it was a lot of hard paced work in the 4.5 hours. I was not joking when I said that it took roughly 2-2.5 hours of straight vacuuming.

Well I really underestimated when he said it was trashed. Plus, I do not have an idea of charging either, rather than by the hour.

lol That would probably work for this thing. The owner would not set up something like this other than once a year, because he knew his wife and kids would not be able to keep it clean.

Seriously. That interior was downright disgusting. Impressive turnaround in a short time.

Exorcism was the right word to use. That was disgusting. Very, nice work. Did the owner work as a product tester for Frito-Lay? Jeez the amount of chips!!
