That's a loaded question. There is no "best". It's all in the eye of the beholder.

longest beading-probably. best looking-that's each individual persons personal opinion depending on whether they like a darker look or brighter more reflective look.

No they are not the best.

Great answer...really helpful :chuckle:

Listening to intelligent answers that have been given, you'll have to decide what is best for your needs/wants.

Zaino is typically regarded as the longest lasting product and has an appearance that many people like. Some people don't care for the look and don't care about durability, so they won't really care for Zaino. They honestly aren't expensive if you consider the cost per application.

Try different products, and you'll be able to determine *your* favorite.

Zaino is a quality product.

The Z2's and whatnot arnt really that expensive, unless you re apply is x10 a month.

The only product i find to be fairly expensive is the car wash, but it is an excellent wash.

If you are new to detailing you will most likely be waxing alot, so i would try out something that is a little less prep sensitive, and that you wont mind using alot, if the above is the case.

I bought Zaino for the incredible hot summers here, i dont want to "wax" for 4 months.

I get a good laugh every time some body says they like the look of Zaino. How can a supposedly optically perfect product have a look? It seems to me it would be perfectly clear and not alter the look at all. It would just rake on the look of the prep under it.

I like the look

Maybe it is not a correct statement that it is opticazlly clear, maybe it is, what do i care, im not going to stop using it.

Is that your point?

My point is that there is so much BS in the hyping of Zaino. The product is not optically perfect, it has a look and a not very good one IMO. The new swirl remover's abrasives are clearly not intelligent and the sealant is clearly not a polish.

Whenever a Zaino thread arises there is always one person who starts in on the Zaino resentment!

Why don't you enlighten us on what the best is and be "really helpful"?

I did. Read my post. :)

Glad that your open mind will be such a valuable asset to the betterment of Autopia. :)

There are lots of great products out there, and it's important that you use what suits you best, but there's absolutely no reason bash a product based on opinions.

No, whenever there is a Zaino thread there is always one person who jumps the guy who doesn't think Zaino is the greatest.

ZaneO, I don't think I have to go into some long winded post about how there is no best product and what product is best is different things to different people etc. I simply said Zaino is not the best. No need for your smart a$$ comment.

Oh is that how it works? If I don't believe obvious misinformation I am closed minded. Sorry for expecting the product manufacturer to tell the truth how unreasonable of me to do that.

Every product has some level of BS in the hyping. Ever looked at Finish Kare's website? Or the labels on Poorboy's products? Yes, many of Zaino's claims are overstated and somewhat fictional. But whose claims arent?

Yes, "intelligent abrasives" is a BS term. However, the average person has no idea about how abrasive breakdown works. "intelligent abrasives" is a term that helps the regular Joe to understand how Z-PC works.

Although Zaino might not be 100% optically perfect, it is the most optically perfect sealant out there. I like a distorted wet look, so the Zaino look doesn't work for me. If you like sharper reflections, you might like it.

Yes, the sealant isn't a polish. However, most people think that a polish is something you use to lock in the shine, ala Nu-Finish or Liquid Glass. Zaino is just using terminology that appeals to the average person, and not necessarily to the pro detailer market.

IMO, there is no perfect product. Zaino is long lasting, but it is very picky about surface prep, and I personally don't like the look. For me, Souveran over RMG is the best there is. It's soaking wet, and glossy, but I'll be damned if it lasts more than 3 weeks. For me, the tradeoff is worthwhile, as I don't mind spending 45 minutes every 3 weeks to glaze and wax my car.

For someone in a different situation, a different product is likely to be preferred. Some guys really like the look of Zaino, and thats cool by me. I just don't happen to, so I recommend against using it. I'm also not a big fan of the "Zaino cult", but it says something to me that a product attracts that strong of a following.

When a member puts a little thought and description into a post, it helps others to understand why something is or isn't the "best" and allows others to learn and the community to grow.

You're off to a wonderful start on this site.

See you guys later :)
