are you happy with Obama's progress so far?

Yet to meet a customer who is an Obama fan.

Do you spark up political rhetoric with each customer? Seems kind of unlikely and a little abrasive, unless they are throwing political advise at you. I'll vote for whoever gets me closer to my Panamera Turbo. Thank you.

If there is one thing this thread demonstrates, it's the extreme degree of polarization that's still present in our society. There doesn't seem to be any middle ground anymore, you're blue or you're red. I've voted for more Republican presidential candidates than I have Democrats, but to you red-staters, I'm still a pariah. We can't get anything done in Congress (generally speaking) because there isn't really any considered thought, mostly partisan politics. If you're a Democrat, that shouldn't mean that you think every Democratic idea is golden, any more than you should think that every Republican idea is crap. I guess I'm too old, I remember when more politicians than not were statesmen, instead of used car salesmen. Time to go off on the ice flow. And with that, I'm going to try to stay out of this thread, because the vitriol just makes me sick.

I agree with you Setec.....we elect that bunch of bums to legislate....argue back and forth until law is hammered out.....thats far from the truth here, the publicans will not barter at all...its their way or the highway. The publicans got their shorts handed to them in the last election, and they are bitter....they want to see Obama fail at all cost......that is not legislation....and the tea baggers are a bunch of anti government sickos.....we are in trouble.

The I-rac war should have not happened on the ground.....we handed their asses to them from the air....the day we leave....I-ran owns it....end the wars now....secure our borders.

WAS, if I can give you any advice as a fellow Canadian, it's to avoid the health care thing. You're going to have to trust me on this one.

lol, I hear you on that. But I don't think it's because Americans are against the idea of universal health care, it's just that they don't know any better. They grew up in the private system and don't know anything else, so of course change makes people nervous.

Uh, no. Not even close. It is because every time the government gets involved in anything, costs go up and quality goes down.

Agreed, and people don't even realize how much the federal government has their hands in all business. Starting next year the credit card processors are going to be required to report credit card sales directly to the IRS.

I am still disappointed.

He only got a tax cut that benefited 95% of the Americans.

The country has stopped sliding into depression with socialistic policies that were supposed to just that.

He did not make this a Muslim nation my friends assured me he would do. American still supports Israel.

He passed health care reform but we will not know what that means for 2 to 3 years.

He stupidly got a stimulus bill passed that my friends railed again yet virtually every republican governor took many photo ops on the money from it. Jindal of La. is the crown price.

He did not surrender in Afghanistan as my friends promised but escalated the war.

He stopped calling anyone who opposed him as part of the axis of evii.

He showed he could have a debate for more than 10 seconds than his predecessor with members of Congress without a teleprompter or writing notes on his hand.

If it were up to me I would give a 72 hour warning and level any country that ends in "igan" and few along the way. I would then bring every soldier home, but the selected few in the protected hot spots. I would stop feeding every other country and baby sitting there *** and worry about ours. This country was built on freedom, now we are losing everything one small step at a time. Pretty soon I'll be taxed to take a ****. I'm done with this thread.

Barry Theal for president anyone?

You are so wrong , I am an independant , I dont like O....but I had to vote for him to keep Mc Bush and that ignorant POS out of office....if they were in office now , we would be in a full blown depression .

I've got to disagree man, I'm Canadian, live here now, but spent 10 years in the US. I prefer their system, despite its flaws. All my in-laws are Americans, they know exactly how our system works and don't want it. I used to think they were nutty until I experienced both sides.
