Are their any other products out there like Rain-X?

Glass Science's Rain Clear line is a pretty good line of of glass products. Carlack 68 also has a really good glass cleaning and sealing combo.

Aquapel is supposed to last quite a while, but its pretty expensive per application. I tried the Amsoil rain shield and it wasn't as good as Rain-x. I've also tried Opti-seal and it seems to work fairly well, but I can't comment on durability yet.

I'll vouch for aquapel. It does last a very long time (6ish months) and you can find it for fairly cheap on the interwebs.

I have been using the HD Poxy... as i apply it to the paint, i just hit the glass. I have been wanting to try Aquapel. Hopefully soon!

I use Stoners Invisible Glass with Rain Repellent and love the results. It may not last as long, but it takes almost no time at all. It's just a glass cleaner, but leave some protection with no hazing/streaking. I use it whenever I need to clean the glass and it leaves a nice slick repellent as well.

I have also heard good things about aquapel.

i gotta say aquapell has far exceeded my expatitons. it has been on my car since march and is still as good as the day i put it on. even after having some apc sprayed on it

I have to put up a picture of the product I have....After going to Aquapel...it's the same directions!!! I have had it for a few years and never use it, nor sell it. You guys will have to see this- very interesting- I mean, the application directions are the same! Thus, there is a private label thing going on somewhere, is my guess.

I am getting the Stoner with rain repel glass cleaner from Jon at Stoner next week and will try it.

When I saw the picture on Aquapel, I thought, "I've seen that somewhere," and when reading the directions..just funny.

I'll get a quick video done today and send the link.

i've been wanting to try this, and may up buying a bottle (DG AW has worked well for me). i'm surprised they haven't offered it in the aerosol yet as the IG comes in both versions...

I have a case of the Stoner IG with repellent coming in about a week. I can certainly sell a few to anyone that wants to try it.

My chemist friend sent me the following: PPG makes aquapel and many companies private label that product.

Stotte: If you want to try that ValuView, I will send you one for about $6 with shipping. I have 10 left and do not need that many.

Thanks, Rob

I've been using Aquapel for nearly ten years and I have not found anything that compares to ease of application and how long it will last not to mention that is does not get hazy when it begins to wear off like other products. FYI I have been buying it off Amazon for $56 per case of 24 applicators which is only $2.33 each and I charge 29.99 to 39.99 for all windows depending on the vehicle.
