Are either of these MF sponges good?

I have used genuine sheepskin mits for years, but all of my local sources have dried up lateley (nobody local carries them anymore). So today I visited Target and Walmart, and picked up their respective MF covered sponges. Any thoughts on these? Are they any good?

The Target VROOM is 100% polyester and appears to have longer fibers.

The Walmart (by Hometex) is an 80/20 mix, and is very short nap.

PS - I've also tried a few grout sponges over the last few washes, and I don't like them at all. They drag and grab too much for my liking. Based on others' positive reviews of grout sponges, I know that my displeasure is "just me", but I can't bring myself to continue to use them.

Try them out and see what works best for you. Just be sure to use a high quality wash and the 2BM when you wash. Inspect the finish after every wash for any scratches which could have been instilled by these wash medias. Let us know how they perform.

Thanks. Last night I did the CD test on both. The white VROOM performed very well, and didn't create any visible scratches on the CD, including the stitching area. The Walmart one also did well, but the mesh on the sides of the sponge was a different story. The mesh material created some scratches on the CD. I know that you're not supposed to clean the car with the mesh area, but it is possible that it would come in contact with the paint, as the MF doesn't wrap around very far. That concerns me though. I will probably give the VROOM a shot.
