Are any glazes compatible with Zaino?

It seems that us Zaino users are at a disadvantage because there is no glaze to fill the imperfections so that the finish is perfectly smooth like the carnuba users. Z-5Pro can only fill so much and using Menzerna Power Gloss is about as heavy a cut s I am comfortable using (with a ROP). And still I can not get the finish as smooth as when I used to apply a glaze before waxing. I am worried about the oils and fillers in a glaze causing bonding problems with the first coat of Zaino. Doesn't that first coat of Zaino need to bond to optically clean paint? Seems like the durability would be compromised. Has anyone found a glaze that is compatible with Zaino? Hope that Sal's next product has the qualities of a good glaze (beyond what Z-5 can do).

Glazes generally have oils that will cause bonding issues with Z.

I've seen a few guys on here doing a Z6 wipedown before applying Zaino.

Z5pro will fill in some micromarring but it won't compare to a real filler glaze. The best option would be Z5P/Z2P and then top with a product that fills-maybe Duragloss AW(doesn't fill much).

Z-PC will get the paint very, very smooth. The Z-PC finish reminded me of a Mother's S&G kind-of-final-finish just prior to lsp. If you've ever used S&G you will know what I mean. I know that Z-PC is a mild SMR but the finish will be glaze like and compatible with the Z polishes. Give it a try.

This is a double post,

but anyway, on the other thread I wrote:

The new Chemical Guys' acrylic glazes should play nice with Zaino. Haven't gotten a chance to try that combo myself (not a Z user), but I don't see any reason why they wouldn't bond as well as AIO or another acrylic.

Menzerna FTG seems like an oily product to me, and I think it hurt FMJ's durability when I tried it.

If you really want to use a glaze, I'd try Sonus Swirlbuster or Prima Amigo. The former has the abrasiveness of Sonus SFX-2. Amigo has only very light abrasives, like SFX-3 or less. Not sure what kind of durability you will get out of Zaino over these two.

Never heard of the CG product.

+1 I don't see why Zaino would have any problems over EZ Creme Glaze. :2thumbs:
