Aquawax = Nanowax ???

Would you put AW on a Sharp Aquos in the living room? Most likely not. Most likely would not cause any harm, but LCD screens are finnicky. They definately tell you not to use different products.
 
I have two panasonic LCD's and a sony DLP. All have both AW and FK1 425 all over them. 425 to clean, AW to protect. Who tells who what, huh? Ive tried LCD specific cleaner and it was junk. Theyre not really finicky, ecspecially considering they have plastic pieces over the actual screens.



If z8 was cheaper, I'd use that.
 
I've never been impressed with any of the EO products really.



As far as touchscreens go, I clean them with FK425 pretty much constantly. No issues whatsoever.



I may try AW in the future just for fun.
 
Ive used both and didnt think they were alike at all. The nano wax kind of left a haze that had to be gone over again, while the AW I used was just wiped on and forget it. Plus Eagle One products in my opinion suck.
 
I actually like nanowax spray. It is a good concealing product with good looks. AW has more of a reflective trait to it and hides nothing. Durability wise, the nanowax does not do as well as AW, but it is by no means terrible. I like AW on a paint with flake, and nano on dark single colors (my car is black).



Although I would have to say that Prima Hydro wax does exactly what nanowax spray does and then some. It offers some concealing ability along with the shine of AW and longevity (it is actually a sealant type product as it requires cure time). It does cost a bit more than the others though...but it is worth it IMO
 
Nano spray is a good product. Its claim to fame is that it will hide swirls and some light scratches, which is a God sent on dark colors. In hot weather it may bloom, which means it may need to be wiped off again. To a lesser degree Turtle Wax Platinum spray will do the same thing, needing more coats to hide the swirls. AW will last much longer, give a brighter shine, doesent bloom , and seems a little easier to wipe off then Nano. It will not hide swirls as well as Nano or Turtle Platinum. Heres a good tip apply Nano and in a few days use AW to make it last longer. I jump around between all three.

I've never used AW, but I use Clearkote's Quickshine on my 50" Pioneer Plasma and 20" HP LCD computer monitor all the time and it works great with no side effects.

I had heard that the scent in AW changed after people were saying it smelled the same as Z8. :nixweiss



I haven't used AW so I have no first hand knowledge of how its scent compared to anything.



I do know for a fact that Long Haul's Truck Gloss and Race Glaze's QD are exactly the same product after speaking to the owner of Truck Gloss, who used to partner with the owner of Race Glaze. The next bottle of LHTG I bought a few months later had a different scent and so have all the ones I bought after that.

Same here, works great on TV/computer screens and they stay dust free longer.
 
I started using AW a few months ago. Since then, I bought the Nanowax at AAP BOGO sale (figured it was worth trying 2 bottles for $5). I don't think the products are near the same. They don't smell alike, look alike, etc. I did use Nanowax -- just like I use AW: spray & wipe with Absorber -- while I was drying. It seemed to work OK, but my car already has so much on it within the past 2 months.

nanowax is a spray wax while AW is a wax as you dry product (although many members and myself included use it full strength on a dry car). I think you are missing out when using nanowax spray in this fashion. Try it as you would a normal spray wax (dry car).



on a sidenote I never feel comfortable with wax as you dry products, it always feels like I am wating a lot of product. I tend to use all products on a dry surface including Prima's Hydro Wax.

Actually, Aqua Wax works very well with an absorber as it helps it glide over the paint. For me it was the Waffle Weave that didn't work well with AQ because the wax seems to build up in the towel and make it not dry as well. With that said, I still prefer to dry the car with the WW first, and then use the wax, but I have done it both ways.
 
i myself can't speak for eo nanowax cause i hav'nt tried it, but i just used aw for the first time acouple of days ago and think it's great, very wet and slick. i hear it's more of a sealant than a wax, any truth in this? it does remind me a little like z8, but more slicker and wetter. anyway real good product for the buck.
