AquaWax durability is bad for me.

Yeah, that's the stuff that used to be QD+ (I think). I'm not sure how much of a reformulation....but the old QD+ I would consider to be pretty aggressive on existing LSP.

It could very well be that you got a doggy bottle of product that had been on the shelf for ages. Talk to the Dura Gloss folks, explain the situation, and see if they will replace it. If so you can re-evaluate the product when the new one arrives and go from there.

If youve never tried Four Stars version of UPP in spray, youve missed the boat. Of all the "spray" products I have used, this one easily surpasses all...........

STOP IT! You're making the plastic twitch in my pocket! Can it be used often, say weekly, without muting flake or darkening the paint? I have zero complaints with Optimum Spray Wax but the hunt for the top of the heap is always lurking in the background like a silent yearning.

In regards to durability. It will be interesting to see how the new OCW does. I know that David at Optimum is trying to address that very issue. I have always thought that OCW's durability was way better than any otc spray wax and I love the way OCW looks..specially over poli-seal.

Well it remains to be seen when the new product is out.......

Yep. I bought a gallon of it about a year ago! :hifive:

In terms of durability, I can easily get somewhere between 2-2.5 months of beading from AW, and that's without any single bit of paint prep and nothing underneath to help it out. I find it plenty durable, and easily comparable to the other spray sealants out there. Heck, in my use AW lasts longer than Zaino CS!

Oh, and my durability findings are based on cars that sit outside and exposed to UV and elements 24x7.

I have never had any more than 4 weeks out of durability with AW. The look is "okay" for me. But I find that if it wasnt so dog gone cheap, many people would not be jumping all over it. But at that price, it is hard not to use it.

I used it as a stand alone LSP over the summer. The paint was prepped with FPII and then AW was applied. I did it in 2 coats at first and I got over a months worth of durability from it. I don't feel the need to "test" the longevity of it though b/c it's so easy to apply, who cares? It's always fresh b/c I can add more in minutes, that's why it works well. I'm sure as hell not using it through the winter b/c I can't wash the car as often (and thus add more) so I've got 105 to back up the AW.

As far as the look goes it's the best I've had for my non-metallic black VW.

OK, I have and use AW - both the Duragloss and Malco versions. Lately, I'm hearing more about FK425 and I'd like to know what ya'll that have actually (no second-hand accounts please) used both AW and 425 think?

I easily get a month (actually a lot longer) out of it as a LSP (nothing under it). You have a bad batch guaranteed.

You're also claiming that it runs when it rains? Aquawax doesnt do that... your batch is bunk.
