You sell the service not a $8 applicator. I'm even thinking of raising my price to $25. The stuff works and 3 months down the road while the Aquapel is still amazing your clients, they might think about what a great guy you were in informing them of this new service. Gives you a great reason to call them up and ask them what they think of the Aquapel and set an appointment for this or maybe another vehicle of theirs. Or maybe sell them a gift certificate, whatever. I think your employer is selling a great service at an affordable price. It is one of my favorite upsells because it exceeds everything else out there.:xyxthumbs

Glass prep is king. Same as with paint and any non-filler LSP.
Aquapel used on glass with Rain-X, dirt, or any other substance not entirely cleaned off will not hold up well or work properly.
I clay using ONR lube, polish lightly with SIP and white/blue pad (Flex), clean with Surf City 3x. Wait for complete dry and apply. I then immediately remove with clean MF.
I find that a minivan takes two to three applicators to get all of the glass and sunroof.
I can usually get the windshield and front two (maybe four) windows with a single applicator. However I really have to move and waste very little.
My applications thus far have shown marked rain slide at speeds 40 and above for at least four months and show strong improvements over untreated glass for about six months. Also my wipers clean better and never skip or smear.
I have not noticed any wiper stacking, skipping, or smearing. Not once on any of the vehicles to which I have applied the Aquapel.
Same goes for relatives, coworkers, and neighbors vehicles that have had the applications.
Also I have not had a single person not ask that I re-apply it a few months later when it does finally wear down.
In some instances I have talked others through the application sans the polish and have had excellent results. I do however have them use clay.
Some of you may be wondering why I polish first...
I do this to make sure all contaminants are removed completely. It is the only way I know of to get rid of Rain-X. I absolutely hate Rain-X. In my opinion it is the cause of most of the complaints I have heard of failed Aquapel applications. Smearing and wiper skipping are signature issues in my experiences with Rain-X.
I purchase my Aquapel via eBay in packs of 12 or 24.
Here is a hint. If you apply the Aquapel and notice that your applicator pad has become dirty during the application, your glass is not clean enough and it is likely your application will not have optimal results and or durability.

I was only asking about the new glass cleaner.
I've used Aquapel for a number of years and have been extremely pleased with it. It seems to last forever. In contrast, I loathe RainX and that horrid chattering and impossible-to-remove build-up as noted above....makes me insane :hairpull
Following the application instructions for Aquapel is essential. I've seen others have trouble with it.

I've tried the Aquapel glass cleaner once; at the quick oil change place, they had free cleaning products for customers to use while waiting.
Simply amazing result - the glass became totally, well, clear, and the sparkle was apparent even from a distance.
I've been a big fan of Stoner's Invisible Glass for years - I thought it was one of those products that I wouldn't find a superior substitute for, so haven't bothered trying. But at least from my limited experience, the Aquapel product surpassed it both in cleaning ability, and ease of use. The Aquapel left the glass cleaner, and cut through the interior windshield haze better; plus it was much easier to remove, the excess evaporating away without residue fairly quickly, whereas often I find IG difficult to completely wipe off without streaking/spotting.
I haven't found a place to buy the Aquapel cleaner yet, though I haven't searched too hard.... I have a stockpile of IG that should last til, um, perhaps 2015.
