I use stoner most the time, in the aresol can and the normal sprayer

it might be my preprations are not that great?

Hmm, The price of th aquapel went down since my last purchase was a year ago,

I will sure go back to this thing, whats the proper process befor applying it?

1-Clay

2-Razor blade

3-Alchol cleaner?

4- apply Aquapel?

I usually just clean it with IPA 50/50 with water or straight IPA. Then apply and buff off with paper towels.

It easily lasts a year for me but keep in mind I rarely use my wipers. I usually wash my car once a week. And the Exterior glass gets Stoners or ONR only if I cannot wash for a few weeks and I want my glass clean. (so only a few times a year, more in the winter) I hate using the washer fluid and wipers to "clean" the glass.

Using the MF to buff shouldn't matter. It probably works better/faster than paper towels.

Edit: I usually buy a 24 pack case and it's around $5 or less per each applicator.

I never use my wipers like you. so I should get a good protection out of it,

the once I bought that were really expensive I bought them from tirerack a while ago.

Thanks for the instructions

I have used Aquapel for over 6 years and the stuff rocks. I get mine on Ebay. If you buy 6 or more it costs about $5 or less per application and that includes shipping. Use your calculator to get the lowest price. I usually buy 12 at a time.

Agreed it is awesome stuff. I haven't bother to buy it in a few years but this thread is motivating me to get a new supply.

FWIW I treat my car to Rain-X the night before I wash it...let it bond to the glass overnight, then rinse it off. Perfect results every time (But of course it only lasts a few weeks in heavy use).

I do not like Rain X because it lasts only for a week or two. Aquapel does last longer, but it does no repel water as well as Rain X. I agree, I try out weird new stuff all the time, but the best I have tried is a nano auto glass sealant product from an american company. I've used it for more than 7 months now, and I still do not need wipers when driving 50+ in rain. I use it for all my windows on my 2 cars.

This the stuff? Nano sealant protection system for Auto Glass

Any side effects you have noticed or dislike? How does it fare after you hand clean your windows?

Yes, but that site must be to attract customers, as I bought it off the company's webpage directly.

I am not sure if it will hold up to 1 year, but so far so good. Even if it "only" lasts 9 months, I will still call it good. I have already passed the 12,500 miles, which was a guarantee too.

No problem yet. I have 2 cars, and one goes through machine wash, and the other by hand. The effect is actually best when the glass is cleaned. My one car is washed every week, or at least almost (-;

Aquapel is not bad, I liked it when I used it, and would probably still buy this, if I hadn't tried this other stuff.
