Aquapel and ONR compaible

I've been using both Aquapel and ONR for a few years and found that my last application of Aquapel is not nearly as effective as usual. I cleaned windshield with ONR then again with IG and then put on the Aquapel. Do you think I layed down some slickness to the glass with the ONR and consequently the Aquapel did not adhere well?

Yes, you want the glass to be as clean as possible before applying aquapel.

I use a product called No Touch Glass Cleaner (I think), with my PC and a 4" cutting pad. "No Touch" is the brand name, not the application method - lol. A paint cleaner that doesn't have polishing oils could also be used.

Temperature is another factor to consider.

Wow, I never thought about going as far as using the PC but that would certainly be safe. I certainly had the glass clean in appearance maybe one of those glass polishing compounds and an alcohol wipe will do the trick.

My recent aquapels havent been as effective either.

I cleaned with straight IPA before applying in 55+ weather after claying and washing the windshield

Beading is awful 2 months later.

My first ever application in June lasted till the tail end of winter...
