Applying RMG

You can't layer RMG, as it has cleaners and *mild* abrasives. With a polishing pad and a PC, I guess that one application can remove light defects on very soft paint. Multiple applications will remove more defects. Honestly though, if you are trying to remove swirls you would be better off using a mild polish, then RMG.

RMG has polishing oils and some light chemical cleaning properties, but is pretty much abrasive free, so if you have some defects you'll need something with more bite to polish them out. RMG will help hide (fill) some very minor defects, but it won't remove them. I apply it with a blue Propel pad (a very light polishing pad) at speed 4 or 5 until it almost disappears into the paint.
I'll often use Vanilla Moose before RMG because it has some very light abrasives that help clean up some minor defects. VM and RMG topped with Carnauba Moosewax is a killer 3 step ClearKote combo.

Well then, I thought RMG was more of a glaze with filling properties more so than cutting. Like I said, I have VERY few minor spider marks, you know only the ones you can see!! For some reason like I said, I allways thought the RMG was more of a filler type glaze. Learn something new every day!!! Just trying to get to the NEAR perfect finish for a show. THANKS again guys for you comments and response. The car is Torch red and I have been topping it of with Pinnacle (sp) wax. I'm very pleased and I know I don't have to tell you how anal we can be!!!!!!!!!!!!!
