Applying polish and wax

Hey,



What is the best method in applying polish and wax?





1)Back and forth movement only

2)do 1 foot length area per time

3)don't apply any pressure



Is this correct?

Are you using the terms "polish" and "wax" the way Autopians do?



For polish, I use a PC which is a random-orbital.



For wax, I use a circular motion and very little pressure. HOWEVER, first I make sure that there are no abrasives on the car, through careful washing and claying, and I use a pristine-clean applicator. Then I buff-off the polish in back-and-forth motions using a non-abrasive MF cloth.
