Applying OC (consumer version) with spray bottle and micro fiber.

I just cannot get the hang of applying OS with a foam pad. I get high spots all the time. Maybe I'm using to much,I don't know. So I use a method using a dedicated small black Meguiars micro fiber towel that folded into sections and I just use one of the sections. I then give each panel a squirt or 2 and apply like a detail spray but don't wipe it off. Just leave it air dry. I have great lick with doing OS like this.

Can I use an old OS spray bottle and put the OC in that an do the same thing like I do for OS ?? Wipe it on and walk away , correct ??

Vehicle I'm going to do is my 13 Silver 4Runner. Im going to polish with HP , then use GPS and then the OC. Does this sound ok to you guys ??

Can I layer OC and if so how long do I have to wait ??

Thank you

Mike~

Yes you can transfer Opti Coat over to a fine mist spray for dispensing, but you'll need to store any unused Opti Coat back in the syringe, purge the air, and replace the black shipping tip. Also, high spots are just areas of over application that are not wiped before they dry. Just wipe the panel a little sooner with a clean microfiber and that should fix it. I wait until about 80% of the section has flashed , then lightly wipe the whole section removing any excess product.

I have yet to buy a coating "kit" that's worth a darn in terms of their ideas about how these products are best applied. I always use a MF pad or WW towel to apply coatings. Those cheap foam applicators are a joke, as are the other materials they usually include.

They'll get it someday.
