Applying Meguiars High Endurance?

I really like the durability and look of Meguiars High Endurance but it is a PITA to apply on any tire that is anything but 100% smooth (very few tires are). Are there any tricks to making this product easier to apply?



BTW, I have been applying with cheap terry cloths because all of the foam applicators I have used self destruct.

Go to Advance Auto or Autozone and get some of the tire dressing applicators. They are the easiest thing to use for this. The best way to apply Endurance is to apply it rather liberally, let it sit for a while (I usually wait 1/2 hour) and then wipe off any residue with a terry cloth.

Do the sidewalls of your tires have little rough areas that shred foam?



These are the crummy tires Toyota put on my car. The area between the side of the tread and where it says Bridgestone Turanza is very rough...lots of vertical ridges. That area shreds terry cloths, foam pads, etc. Are the tire foam applicators you recommended fairly stiff?

You could cut the bristles off of a cheap paint brush making them just long enough to do the job.
 
I have a Tundra and a 4runner and I use the tire applicators. They are stiff. They make a special one for truck tires now. I haven't used it yet. It is just a lot bigger than the regular ones.
 
I have Bridgestone Turanzas on the Lexus...they are actually a decent tire according to several critics. In any event, the EO Tire Swipe works fine with these tires. :up
