If you are going to wax by hand I suggest you order one of these. They are easy to use and work very well. Works well with all paste & liquid waxes. I have washed it and used it about 20 times already. This might help some people out a little.



It is a foam applicator with a nice size pad on it.



I got mine through VIKING on autopia.
 
Wow, I haven't heard anyone mention this thing for a while! :cool: It's a good idea, though a bit too big for some paste wax cans though IIRC. Didn't it used to be dark grey?
 
What a coincidence. I just bought two yesterday after hearing such good reviews on these. They only had one of them in the new packaging though. The old packaging has a gray handle and the new one has a blue handle. I'll be trying these out in a few days. At $2 each, I hope I can get them to last as long as you!
 
How wide is it? On my Meguiars' applicator, I can only get a 1/4 of it in my S100 Carnauba Wax jar.

Same here.... I love these things.... :up I got mine at my local Autozone for 2 bucks each......



NY detailer, how do you wash them? Do you just rinse'em off or throw'em into the washer?

It's quite a bit larger than the Meguiar's yellow applicators. Just push the center of the Viking into the S100 jar and it will get plenty of product on the surface of the pad.

See I bought that and I tried the CD test on it and it scratched the livng hell out of a CD. I didnt use it. I am surprised Brian that you use it.

I never had a problem with them. The foam is really soft, in fact it is the same material that comes with the s100 pad.
 
I would get one if it is WHITE color.......Don't know how are you going to see any dirts in it........

I use a terry pad and had to rinses it about 5-6 times when doing the whole car with Zaino........I found no matter how good you wash the car you will pick up some dirt in the applicator when applying polish.

Just my 2 cents.
