Appauled at Zaino's service.

**** happens, man...let it go. I really don't understand why you're getting so worked up at Zaino about this. I had UPS destroy my last order from Griot's (I think it got ran over by a truck) and the only reason I knew was because Griot's sent me a new tracking number that was second day air.

I'm not getting worked up and peeved off at Griot's because UPS effed up...life is too short to fret about stuff like this. It's done, over. Pick up your ish, clear your head and move on.

All the negativity in this thread is taking years off MY life.

From the other side of the world i find this thread amusing. What the hell would this guy do if he had a REAL crisis.Build a bridge and get over it.

I sympathize but it happens to us all once in a while. I'm still waiting on Pakshak to ship an order from a week ago. I got a confirmation but nothing more after that. I emailed them yesterday asking for an update ... nothing. I'm sure I'll eventually get the stuff.

It's hard when you have a time crunch, but sometimes stuff happens. I would hope your customer would understand since it's probably happened to them before.

UPDATE: I thought I should mention that I heard back from Pakshak and they apologized that my order had gotten misplaced and was now shipped. So, it happens even to the best of them! Doesn't help the OP's situation, but businesses I think for the most part do the best they can. Once in a while, something slips through. Whether it was Zaino or UPS, it just takes one cog in the machine being a little off to cause a problem.

I think some on this board live to ***** about Zaino-just read the Zaino MF thread. If you hate Zaino then fine, don't buy it. But it seems to me that all the Zaino negativity on this board is hurting autopia's reputation more than Zaino's.

I dunno, I've been pretty peeved at AG and DF for giving me less-than-straight answers; I wouldn't characterize this as a Zaino us-against-them thread (although it's getting that way).

I don't care if Sal dropped a deuce in my package and it took a month to receive. Remember:

Probably if Zaino had upped the "ante" a bit more, besides paying for shipping charges, a customer would overlook what was obviously the vendor's error.

Once Bob @ Danase sent me a gallon size of a product instead instead of the quart I had ordered, simply because he had run out of that size, etc. He could have said "sorry, it's on backorder", but instead he upped the "ante", just to keep a customer's business. That is why that site will get repeat business from me.

If it's going to go unused let me know if you want to get rid of it.

I'll buy it from you.

Because if it sits on your shelf, and you see it,

it will be a constant reminder of the ordeal you had to go thru.

Let me ease the pain of your disappointment and

tell me how much you want.

Unfortunately, **** happens. That's the sad truth. I have never had a problem with Zaino but that's not saying the operation isn't perfect. Have you ever made a mistake? It doesn't matter which car care supply store we are talking about here, stuff happens at all of them from time to time because the world isn't perfect. I think they made an honest attempt at resolving it by offering free shipping, and bottom line, if you don't feel comfortable ordering from them again, you don't have to.

This is my UPS story- last friday I ordered a part from Colorado to PA. The woman told me it should by here by friday the 31. Guess what, no part. That's a week to get a box across the country and UPS can't deliver.

Yes, but does UPS really have the package? UPS is pretty much coast to coast in 5 days--once they are actually given the package. I don't believe anything a vendor is telling me unless I see the UPS scan activity. I'm in a dispute with a non-detailing online vendor right now over something they say they shipped that should have gotten to me in 2 days (been 5 so far), but the tracking number they have given me only says "billing info received", so I call BS that it was actually shipped until I either get it (has happened, that I receive the package before the tracking shows that UPS even picked it up from the shipper, not sure what goes on with those) or I see scan activity.

Please allow me to add something of substance. Lest too many fine Autopians be led astray, lets make a note:

AesopF1 is appalled by Sal Zaino's apparently disreputable business practices.
