Yeah, I think so. I wasn't asking for them to replace the rack or the work bench. I was more concerned that this could happen at all. He made a big point over thinking that the Griot racks are powder coated. They are not!! I felt like he was accusing me of lying. He wanted pictures etc. I don't have the time nor patience to chase this. I would of had to remove the rack from the wall yet again to get a picture of the damage. I was only asking for a $2 spray bottle and a MF towel. I really wanted them to explain this product which I still have pretty much a full gallon of. No way it should do this especially diluted.

It's sad to say, but unless you are a big part of their forums, they just don't give a crap. They're only out to get your money, and then they don't believe anything you say. I've been treated like crap one too many times by them. The only thing that I used from them was their car wash and detail spray. Two things that I have already planned to replace with FK425 and Optimum Car Wash. And to base on what you talked about overpriced. They are extremely overpriced. I've found Maxi-suds II to be exactly like their car wash for 1/3 of the price. And $25 for a 16 oz bottle of VRT and it only last for 2 weeks? Come on now. Their stuff is set out for the novice that has been using OTC stuff for the last 10 years IMO. I mean don't get me wrong, some of their stuff is really good, but if you know anything about detailing and you say one thing about their stuff, they'll flip out. On the other hand, if you're a complete idiot when it comes to detailing, they'll treat you like a king and try to draw you in. This is just my .02 take it as you will, but I have to put up with their crap over on Camaro5 because they are a sponsor over there. Everything in the detailing section has been headed towards Adam's. The select few that doesn't use Adam's like to call all of the people Adam's Zombies.

I like you use their detail spray(which i like) and I have a gallon of their shampoo which is as you say nothing special. I also use their waterless shampoo. I don't think that I have ever slammed a vendor on a forum and it was not my intention to do that here. This was a unfortunate series of events that I feel should not have happened. I raised some possibilities with Adam of what may have caused it but he never responded back after his his first email. I will never let this APC get anywhere near my car and I will purchase from vendors that treat me with respect.

I was not intending on bashing their products because like I said, they do work as advertised. I was just stating in a long rant like situation that their customer service has been horrible in every situation that I've been in with them since I know stuff about detailing. Most of the other people, that aren't on these forums, have nothing but nice things to say about their customer service. I also find it shady that they remove any bad reviews from their site. Again I'm not meaning it to sound like I'm bashing their company, just their CS isn't everything people make it out to be.

Did you email him photos and did you show him this thread? I would think that would be enough to sway anyone reasonable that you have a legit issue

No, I didn't take the time to take pictures yet. I just kind of resented being treated that way. I would guess that he really doesn't care one way or another about this. I'm not a big enough customer I guess.

I know that feeling. No excuse on their part especially from someone who puts his name on the products he sells. If you want to take things further maybe start a concrete paper trail and send a certified letter outlining the issue to them. Whatever the outcome, please keep us updated. Poor Customer Service stories suck!

I've found Maxi-suds II to be exactly like their car wash for 1/3 of the price.

I did some testing with Maxi-Suds II and Adam's. They look and smell identical but I found Adam's did seem to have at least 3x more something (suds, etc) than than CG at the recommended dilutions (Adam's is 1/2 oz per gallon and CG is like 1.25 oz per 4 gallons). CG works is ok at the dilution but much better at 1 oz per gallon but still competitively priced even then.

I wanted to take the time tonight to update this thread. I tried one last time yesterday and sent an email to Lynn voicing my disappointment in never having heard from Adam after my email of a month ago. I also referenced the fact that I had started a thread on the topic here at Autopia. I got an almost immediate response from Adam. He was gracious and informed that my last email never got to him. He apologized and offered a very generous solution to my APC problem. I'm not going to give any particulars but I will say that it more than made up for my frustration over this problem. My faith in Adam's has been restored and I will not hesitate to patronize them in the future. As I have stated in this thread there are several products that they make that I prefer (car wash, waterless wash and detail spray).

I have no experience with Adam's products but if you're ever looking to switch to a new line of products, POORBOY'S WORLD products are great and their customer service is above and beyond what could ever be expected. I had a couple pads I purchased from them break down while using them with an incorrect backing plate. Steve sent me the correct backing plate and a couple extra pads. I had to pay for the backing plate, but he didn't charge me until my next order, which is what he told me would happen. I'm happy you had things worked out with Adam's, in the event anything like this happens again, I can't speak highly enough about Pockets and Steve!

I'm glad things worked out too but....... why was the product so volatile? Are you still planning to use it or is there a problem with it that others should be aware of?
