Anything Adviseable over Zaino?

My 96 Vette is sebring silver, paint in excellant condition, never seen rain let alone snow and I have been useing the Zaino process. My question is,My wife's silver BMW looks dazzling after Zaino but the Vette doesn't really sparkle or seem to have the gloss. Granted their both different makes but the Vette looks gray parked nexted to the BMW.
Is it adviseable to topcoat the Zaino with another product to bring out the depth,or get more gloss?
Thanks

JimmyS5600,

The Sebring Silver is a pretty tough color to give some "POP"! You could try a couple of things............... first, are you using Z2 or Z5? The Z5 tends to give more gloss, and a bit "deeper" look than the Z2, although not as opticaly clear as Z2. Second, if your Vette is garaged kept, there's no reason you can't polish with a good polish like Meguiar's #9, add a coat of Meguiar's #7, and then QD with the Zaino QD, and apply your Z2, or Z5. Yes, you won't get the bond that you get with straight Z2 or Z5, but if it's garage kept, durability shouldn't be an issue. You may want to try this on a small area and see if you like it.

Also, a couple of years ago, I was fourtunate to be able to help detail a 64 Sebring Silver Roadster. We had really good luck using Meguiar's Fine Cut (with rotary), followed by, I believe 3M's SMR (with rotary), followed by Meguiar's Pro hand polish, followed with Pinnacle Souveran! Really gave that silver some gloss and depth.

Hope this helps

Boss_429, Thanks for your reply, greatly appreciated. Yes it is mostly garaged kept, only put on maybe 1500 a year.
I have been useing Z2,never did try the Z5 on it. I liked the thought of useing the Meguiar's products before the Zaino. I will give that a try.
Thanks again,
Jimmy

Boss_429, Another question please.
Would the Z2 on it now have to be removed before doing the Meguiar's and Zaino application? Thanks

I hear the P21S is good on lighter paints. Anthony suggested it for that and I like it too. I like it on all colors.

I also like Blitz on silver and grey. Either of these would be as good or better then Meguiars.

The quality of the german paint jobs over the american are two differnt things. I have a black BMW and a light taupe Jeep. Bar none the BMW always looks better.

JimmyS5600,

Yep, the Z2 will have to be removed. The Meguiar's #9 will remove it.
