anyone wax their granite countertops ?

I'm not sure if this is the right forum - or if there even is one for this. But i was thinking that some glossy wax could really add some gloss to the granite . Has anyone tried this ? Or am i crazy ??

There's a special wax just for granite and you can get it at Home Depot. Car Wax is not safe for food prep areas... :wow:

Yeah, I think you'd want a material-specific product. The granite/marble stores ususally offer a few products. I think car wax could potentially leave a bunch of white residue in the pores/cracks and that ain't gonna look purdy.



I need to do this in our kitchen, too. The counter tops are starting to look dingy. If anyone has a rec, that would be great.
