Im having a really hard time trying to choose a decent pressure washer in my price range...The one I have ben borrowing is nice, but way more then I need. I have ben looking into the ones at home depot for around $500.00, but Have just found at my local car wash supply house a nice 2500psi electric unit that they put together. I figure since I need to run the generator anyway, why not have an elctric pressure washer? Interested in seeing what you guys think?

Thanks,

I just got a Black & Decker one off ebay. It's a 1300psi model with two different head attachments.

The things I love most about it are:

-Far more powerful than a garden hose
-Foaming nozzle attachment acts as foam gun
-Lightweight
-Smaller than a standard backpack
-Inexpensive
-Perfect for what I need it for

I honestly don't think bigger is necessarily better in this case. Of the few cars I've done, this has been an absolutely perfect tool between a fire nozzle and an industrial piece. If I did a ton of vehicles, I would upgrade to a more rugged piece.

For basic car washing, there is no need to go much above 1500psi/1.5gpm. Mine is 1700psi/1.5gpm, and when it is doing well, does everything necessary. A little more in GPM would be cool, but I'm okay. It was $199CAD and included a vacuum/blower, wall mount, and 100' of cord.

I have a Kartcher (sp) and its 1300 PSI two nozzles for the tip and I love it....I have yet to find a job that its not done what I needed....was something like $120 at Home Depot two years ago

it also has the soap bay that you can load up which is great for shooting down larger cars, and the house
