Anyone used these mf wash mitts with ONR?

As soon as I get a couple of warm days in a row, I'm gonna Zaino the M3. I will be starting from scratch. From what I read it appears I will not have to use my Z1 at all. Just start with ZFX and Z2 or Z5 from the get go. Is this the way to go? Or should I put down a layer of Z1 to start the foundation? :confused:
 
You know the process:



1.Wash with dawn (blue) Dry.



2.Clay. use capful of Z7 with 12 oz of water as lube for clay



2.Wash w/ Z7, dry car.



3.Mix 1 oz (Half of the mixing bottle) of Z2 with ZFX (4 drops). I can get 6 coats from 1oz (3 on Z06 and 3 on 540) If I was just going to do 1 car I would mix about 2/3 to 3/4 of an oz with 3 drops of ZFX. Shake, shake and shake.



4.Spray cotton applicator with a little Z6. Put small amount of Z2 on CA (cotton applicator) size of a dime and rub it into the CA w/ your finger.



5.Start applying it to surface. Put it on very thin! by the time you get done putting it on the entire car, the starting point will be dry. You can test it by wiping with your finger, If it smears wait a while longer.



6.Remove with 100% cotton (made in USA) towels. It comes off easy doesn't it.



7.Apply Z6 to car one section at a time and remove with another 100% cotton towel. Use very little of the Z6, it goes a long way.



Do steps 4,5,6 and 7 two more times.



3 coats of Z2 is the max per 24 hour period.
 
SKip Z1 if you are using ZFX.



Make sure you do have the paint prepped properly before though since the results depend on the prep work for any product.

Has anyone used these mf wash mitts from PAC with ONR?

I am looking to try something different this year -- retire my dreadlock. I like a mitt since I can control the pressure plus I want something dedicated to rinseless.

Sorry, I have never used this mitt. I really like using a grout sponge with ONR. It does a great job of releasing the dirt into the rince bucket.:Dancing Dot:
 
I have used this mitt with ONR and I liked it. It did a nice job. Rinses nicely and doesn't appear to hold any grit or gunk after a good rinse against a grit guard. I like the fact that you can wash it along with your other MF towels no special treatment required like a lambswool mitt.
 
Have you tried a soft mf towel? CeeDog did a review on ONR and his research had shown that Dr. G himself had recommended a soft mf towel. I did not know that and used to use a grout sponge. I like how the towel works with it.
 
I've used numerous mitts with ONR and found all of them retained a lot of residue. I tried the Lowe's Pro Line grout sponge that was raved about numerous places and although I've never had the slightest use for a sponge when washing cars, I quickly found it worked best for me for ONR usage. YMMV.
