Anyone used Duragloss Rain Repel?

Have any of you used Duragloss rain repel? Just wondering how you like it, and does it cause the nasty streaking like rain-x when it starts to wear off? And does the stuff last long on the windshield? Your opinions please.....

OK, so I went and bought some, and I am not impressed. The other day I'm driving down the highway at night in the fine, misty rain, and of course I had to use my wipers, and the stuff just smeared like crazy, and with the oncoming headlights in my face, I could hardly see anything. I called DG and they said they have had some problems with this product smearing in a misty rain, but if it were raining harder, it would have made a difference. But there are always times when you need to use the wipers, so this is not practical. Since I was trying to find an alternative to Rain-X, which smeared for me, I didn't like this product. I am now going to remove the stuff with Nu Glass, and NEVER, EVER put anything on my windshield again. I have read that a good, clean windshield will naturally repel the rain, so I am all for getting my windshield as clean as possible (if I can get the stuff off) and leaving it that way! I will still use Rain-X on my side and back glass, but not this stuff.

I use it, and it's pretty weak. It cleans the glass well, but there is no "beading" like you find with Rain X.

UPDATE: Recently I used Stoner's Invisible Glass with Rain repellant (the purple bottle), and I really like it. It repels water better than the duragloss did, and minimal streaking when I use my wipers. I bought the IG with rain repel at Target for like $5.99 if I remember right...I use this on my windshield and all of my other windows too.

the stoners invisible glass with rain repellant is good stuff.. doesnt last too too long, but does pretty well for a month or 2. if you dont clean the outsides of your windows atleast once a month, then shame on you anyway ha. i find that the first time your windsheild gets wet and you use your wipers it streaks a tiny bit, and leaves a white line at the end of your wiper blades travel, so i use it and then the next day come back , and wipe all the windows down with a wet paper towel, then a dry one and problem solved. good stuff. greatly perfered over rain x for me.

I've been using Aquapel on my Blazers ,work car, moms,g/f RAV4's w/no complaints from anyone(can't believe that). have had it on close to 6mo and it been pretty wet this summer. picked up on AG site.

Aquapel works great and you do get the full 5-6 months out of an application. Perfect for a lazy turd like me.

Went to my local PepBoys today and saw that PPG glass treatment (same exact thing as aquapel, even same manufacturer) was on sale for $4 instead of the usual $8. I cleared the shelf.
