Anyone use IP with cutting pad ?

Ya i have that pitting too. I have delt with it as you can rarely see it. I plan on getting my hood repainted maybe this summer bause it is really pitted and it bugs me.

That was what I have been seeing lately. Is it from the paint drying process; and absolutely unavoidable, or what is it caused from?

I've had it on my hood from day 1 and it's still there...if it's solvent pop it came from the factory like that (my Yukon still had the plastic on it when I first saw it) Mine isn't the only factory paint I've seen it on either.

I'm sure you can get rid of it by using a more aggressive approach but I'm not willing to compromise my clearcoat to find out.

Come on man...... you give it a try and post the instructions! I'd love to remove it too.

Those are deep pits. They are clearly visible in the pics so they have to be pretty deep. How much clear coat do you think there is? No way you will polish those out without going through the clear.

Just because it still had the plastic on it doesn't mean it wasn't repainted.

Yeah, theres nothing short here other than a repaint. In the first picture I always thought that was just sand blast from highway travel...

I have seen that on roofs and trunks after they have been polished and that wasn't sand blast on those areas. I am pretty sure that is solvent pop from a poor paint job.

Is that the new ceramiclear polish from Menzerna? I haven't used it .

anthony i'm not sure how new the polish is but it will no longer be available to the US and the polish has had great reviews.

Yeah I have read many of them. I really like FP II though so I never felt the need to pay the premium for the new ceramiclear polishes.
