Anyone use CHemical Guys Interior products?

Count me in on this thread. I've been using Leatherique and have some left but will be looking for something new, and maybe less of a hassle... Thoughts folks. My leather surfaces are in a '97 Mercedes E300 (E-Three-Double) :help:

I just received my shipment of CG. The smell is great if you want that new car smell. The PH is too harsh for old leather. It practically took the color out of a small portion of my BMW 528i 1997. The conditioner makes you slide out of the chair too something i did not want. But it did finish in a matte form. I would just get the conditioner if you were going to buy CGs interior products. Instead of using the cleaner use a mr. clean sponge or water and woolite.

I've used the cleaner and SMART Leather Conditioner. Both work great and are an incredible price. The cleaner is a bit stronger then z9, and the conditioner leaves less of a mat look then z10. But its not super greasy like, say, armoral.

I have the same two products mentioned in the initial post, and I love them. The cleaner just plain rocks, and I use an upholstery brush to really get the seats nice and clean, and then just wipe them off with a towel.

I haven't used the second conditioner mentioned by Greg Nichols, but it seems very interesting, and I like the fact that it's spray on and not as thick.

I think the 1Z line is the best for interior work. Cockpit Premium and Plastik Reiniger are very effective. PR can get more layers of dirt out than I have seen other products do.

Well, I just purchased a new vehicle and it has leather seats that I want to keep looking and feeling new for years to come. The CG leather product in the OP's post was something I had in mind to purchase, but then said it it took some color out of his leather seats. Would this product be good to use in my situation?

nasdaq,

I'm using the CG's leather cleaner regularly on my family's three 07' Mercedes (all with black interiors), my father's 04' F150 tan leather seats, and my own 07' F150 with black leather seats, and all it does is make them look like brand new. I haven't noticed any fading of color of any kind, and scrub the heck out of them.

The only reason it caused my seats to crack and break is because(this is a guess) the leather was too old and sat in the sun way too much. In addition it was never conditioned in its life. But for new leather i do not think it should have the same affect. Try it in a small part of your seats and if it causes a problem then do not use it. I am planning on trying it on my M3 nappa leather this weeknd. Ill post back with pics

I think it's safe to say that in your unique situation just about any cleaner with any kind of strength to it would have done the same thing.

Don't be afraid to try it on your M3, you will love how they come out. Like I said, I don't know how dirty your seats are, but if you are having a difficult time getting them clean try using an upholstery brush to scrub them a bit, and then wipe off with a towel.

Count me in as another who really likes the CG leather products. I've been using the cleaner and conditioner on my 300C's leather for about a year now. No problems at all. Great results.

Have been using CG for sometime now and i have to say it yields amazing results. Especially on all of my cars. The conditioner is great too. It has to be one of the best ones i have used so far.

I like the CG leather conditioner and think it works great - good leather smell. I believe the bottle I have is from smartwax but believe they are one in the same.
