Anyone tried VM and WG?

After reading the posts here I've decided to give WG sealant a try on my white 2003 Suburban. However I also decided I didn't want to try the prewax due to some of the comments I read so thought I would either use the VM I have on hand or the Menzerna FP that I bought to use on the Porsche this coming season. Now I'm wondering if I made a mistake by not ordering the WG prewax. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

I am not sure what the WG sealant is compatible with if you don't use their pre-cleaner. FWIW, I have had no problems using the pre-cleaner.

I had no problem with the Wolfgang Pre-Wax, I liked it, but you should not have a problem with Menzerna,VM or any good pre-wax.

The WG Sealant has NO cleaners. I believe that sealants with absolutely no cleaners work best with their partners in crime (ie: SG with AIO, Zaino etc...). The surface that the WG Cleaner leaves is extra slick and feels as though it is made for the Sealant. I would worry about the fillers in the VM and the ability of WG to properly bond.

Most of the comments about the pre-wax cleaner seem initially negative but are ultimately positive. When you use a mf or terry applicator to apply the cleaner, you can "feel" the cleaner working. Thus, it is "difficult" to apply (with the aforementioned items) and couldn't be easier to remove. Give it a try with the VM, but I would recommend a paint cleaner like AIO or SEC before the WG Sealant.

Either way, have fun with it--you will find yourself throwing additional layers on once in a while just because it is fun and it takes 5 minutes.
