Anyone tried Megs Gold Class liquid wax?

I just got 2 bottles few weeks ago and so far I'm impressed. It looks great (maybe not quite as good as NXT) and provides great protection from what I can see. Durability results have to wait since I've been waxing every week/wash due to taking the car on long trips, clays, etc. Last week I put a coat on and it rained, the car still looks absolutely spotless besides for the normal dusting. I'm impressed by this stuff. Have some pics of my car below, not the best shots to show off the paint but I wasn't aiming for that at the time

For people who have used it, how does it compare overall to some other waxes you've tried? I'm not a serious detailer, all I want to do is just have some sort of wax on the paint at all times so comparisons to products I can get OTC would be nice :) I've tried some AIO before too, wasn't really impressed with that on my car nor our black 2000 ML320, especially considering all that I've heard about it

AIO is generally used as a basecoat. Most people don't use it for looks/protection. It's a good chemical cleaner as well.

Haven't used GC, so I can't help ya there.

Well i'll tell ya, it looks great on your car. I think GC is generally regarded as a good otc wax. I was going to buy some the other day, but ive got 3 waxes I have yet to try on my truck, dont need another one.

The recent reformulation did wonders for Gold Class liquid. I *believe* it was a year and half ago did happened (give or take). The new GC provides excellent reflectivity, wetness, and easy-as-pie removal. While the old version had horrible durability (1 month tops), the new one actively repels water for ~2-3 months. I give GC two thumbs up.

Pretty reflective, I only use it as a one-step for cars in decent shape. Just trying to use it up. FWIW, durability is pretty poor at around 2 months tops, but if you use a booster QD after every wash(I used Sonus Detailing Spritz), I have found that it extends the durability to around 4 months.

i have a bottle in the garage from...hmmm...5+ yrs ago maybe. i used it once and never opened it again. from posts above, it sounds like the new formulation must be a lot better...i remember it being difficult to remove, etc. it would be nice to see how the new formula performs.

your ride looks good with it...so that's all that matters!:goodjob

The new formula is so much better than the old one. When i first used it in 2001,it didn't last more than 2 weeks for me,the new formula is more like 2 months,it is a fairly good product, easy to apply and remove, and looks great on any dark colour.

Ya it must have been reformulated then because this was very easy to apply and remove

Glad for you that you're pleased with it. I found it to be the worse wax I'd ever used, with a life expectancy of a few hours, literally. It's what drove me to Klasse.
