Anyone Top Wolfgang with Carnauba?

Thus far the reviews on this forum seem to endorse Wolfgang Sealant.

I just received a bottle and will try it this weekend. My question: has anyone topped WG Sealant with P21S/S100 or Souveran and what were the results.

Thanks.

I haven't tried topping WG yet. On my silver WRX, I don't think it needs a topper (looks pretty good on its own), but I'll probably give in to my occasional carnauba-jones and give it a shot at some point in the future.

WG sealant gave such a nice glow that the paint didnt seem to need anything on top of it. also i didnt want to give up such a smooth surface and hault the testing of just WG alone.

Thanks for the prompt replies...I think I will omit the carnauba for a while. Sounds like most everyone is happy with WG so far.

One more Q: does WG dry pretty quickly...like in under 30 mins?? Thanks.

Another non-topper of WG. So far appearance requires no augmention on my metallic silver. Really nice product. :xyxthumbs

I allowed it to cure 30 minutes but it appears to haze quite quickly. :wavey

ive applied WG three times, once by hand, twice by PC. each time i applied it to the whole vehicle, then began to remove it. So i would say WG dried pretty quickly. The bottle doesnt say how long to let it dry, so i assume it dries right away.

Yes, I noticed the bottle had no mention of letting it haze over or when to buff it off....maybe an oversight?

Thanks for the advice....I'll do the entire vehicle and then buff it off (First On- First Off).

BTW, that's probably my biggest issue with Klasse SG and even BF...it takes awhile to dry.

Fortunately..??!!?? I have 2 dark vehicles...my company demo gets most of the experimental panels. I used WG on the hood and trunk..next day topped it with S100..wasn't really an improvement...to me, anyway. WG seems to have this really nice clear glow to it....adding S100 to it seemed to cloud it a little..warmer??...I guess, but I didn't really like it as much as I like WG alone.

Per a customer's request, I topped the Wolfgang twins with a carnauba (Meguiars #16). It added some more 'wetness' but otherwise didn't affect the nice glow you get from WG on its own.

I like the glow and agree that it looks great on most vehicles. The problem on my Honda (maroon) is that the "glow" ends up almost making the paint look pinkish. Bret referred to it as a silvery look and that just about sums it up perfectly. I'm going to top off with #16 tonight before hitting the road for VT tomorrow. It will be interesting if the pink color is still the dominant color through the lsp.

I applied two coats of WG 24 hours apart, tehn 24 hours later I applied S100 to half the hood, it did not look noticably better to me, and I was thinking, maybe I wont use this as a topper if it will take soo long and not make much difference, then I ran my fingers over the hood and the WG was had much less drag then the S100 side, WG is slicker then S100 for me

Scott,

That Bimmer is dripping wet! :bow

I too have tried #16 as a topper, probably one of the wettest looks I have ever seen.

Cheers,

Andrew-I agree about how wet #16 looks. I cannot believe I overlooked it for so long. Honestly, if only Meguiars products existed and I had to pick between NXT or #16, I'd go with #16.

Just FYI, Wolfgang looks pretty wet on its own.

I also think the Wolfgang twins do a killer job, I did top them off with some Souveran and it did give it a little more of a wet look. I was talking to Jason @ autogeek and he said that they may bring out a Wolfgang Souveran kit soon. Just night be the best of both.:up
