I haven't used Simoniz but I did use the Mothers and found it a good wash. Most of the members here use Meguiars Gold Class for an inexpensive wash. Slip over the border and find it at Target stores for $9.99US by the gallon. It's a real good wash for the coin.
I got some simoniz as a gift afew years ago, and I was not overly impressed. It didn't create much sudds, and it didn't seem to get the dirt very loose. I ended up smearing some of the dirt instead of picking it up with my glove
I used the right water to soap ratio on the bottle, maybe it would work better with a stronger consintration? :nixweiss
I'm with Blake. Meguiar's Gold Class shampoo is great, cheap, and it comes by the gallon. Get it at Target for $10. It's very concentrated and produces good suds, so if you're looking for a great inexpensive wash, Gold Class all the way.
The "salt" listed on the label is not salt in the sense you are thinking of.
Salt (the flavoring type) is sodium chloride. The Sodium Salt referred to on our car wash label as an ingredient is a type of detergent used for cleaning. I wouldn't recommend putting it on fries, chips or anything else I was going to eat.
I love Mothers California Gold Wash/shampoo. Great suds, great smell, works well with the hard water here in CA, much better that Pinnacle Body Shampoo and One Grand Wash. I prefer it to Meguiars Gold Class. I have only seen the 16 ounce size though.
