Anyone still using Finish Kare 425 Extra Slick Final Body Shine...?

I think I used it as a drying aid a few months ago. Are you looking to purchase or are you using it recently?

I have used in the past but now I use P&S Beadmaker or Extreme solutions topper. I was pleased with it but moved on.

FK 425 is still a fantastic QD and one of my all times favs. I still have a gallon and will always have some in my cabinet.

I have and still use FK425. In my opinion it is one of the slickest and nicest detail spray I have ever used.

Lately though I have been using BeadMaker more. I do like the glops and added protection it provides on our coated vehicles.

In all honesty since the cost is so comparable I have considered using FK425 during the summer and weekly washes then BeadMaker once a month or so. Just alternating between them. Then again I like using Reload as well. Oh the options.

Great product, I also have a large bottle. My only concern is that there are probably 18 other products that have eclipsed it.

I`d been using ~QD-strength IUDJ instead, but recently went back to the FK425. My intention was to "just use it up", but eh...it *does* look a tiny bit better than the IUDJ so I might stick with it.

I wonder, anybody here use FK146? Ketch does *not* like that one, and he oughta know whether it`s any good or not if anybody does, but eh...I kinda like it and have gallons on-hand already.

While I never had any issues with anything being compatible with the IUDJ m(well, I don`t try to use it on KSGed surfaces lest I be unable to add more..), I hesitate to use other stuff lest it mess with my ability to just keep adding more FK1000P without doing any real prep.

Though I still have so many gallons of other QDs I really need to find some way to use those up...doing the undercarriages with `em barely uses any.

I used it years ago, and loved it.

You could put it on all surfaces - even glass.

Was just wondering if it was still a "go to" slick, glossy detailer of choice these days - or if there are much better options.

Yeah, that was my concern - if there were any others that beat its slickness and gloss, etc.

I guess TAC System Shinee Wax is the newest topper that produces the most gloss now days - just not sure it can be used as a detailer as it is a "wax".

Polo, I`ve converted over to ceramic products a while ago and they sort of have own regimen. The #425 probably wouldn`t benefit these coatings.

Let people know what you are working with in terms of your last step product and what you are going after. There are plenty of "ceramic" quik detailers out there if that`s what you need.

18 is a lot- I`m sure you mean"a lot"-- not exactly 18---That being said- what are 4 or 5 of them that you think are better?
Thanks

I think Griots Best Of Show QD, Adams Detailer, and CG V7 are "better" than FK425 because they shine as good, but *flash quicker*. That being said, once you get the hang of FK, it`s pretty awesome and hard to beat. But don`t expect a `nuba look. It`s more candy to me.

Thanks for reminding me that I still have some! I had forgotten about it completely.....getting ancient does that to you.

My wife and I still use it for all dusting, baseboards, and trim work in our home... just bought a gallon two month`s ago! Works great on kitchen cabinets and marble/granite/quartzite counter tops as well !

It`s also amazing on bathroom mirrors :)

Just FWIW, and I`m sure not criticizing the use of FK425 for this, I switched my Household Dusting Product from QDs to RW with good results (besides the cost savings).

(Besides the way my QDs/etc. never leave my glass just right...) I figure that whatever it leaves behind will just get cleaned off by the use of regular Glass Cleaner, which I have to use most of the time because of, uhm...tenacious [stuff]...that always seems to get one `em. I have to use a razorblade scraper on some of `em...and that`s even when I clean `em with Zep40!

Really, on mirrors? Do you clean the mirror first and then apply? Or do you actually clean the mirror with this?
