Anyone see the new MB SLR McLaren?

i love the mercedes SLR mclaren car. i downloaded a top gear video of it and man that car is sexy. pretty fast too considering an automatic.

whats funny is that the SLR mclaren cost about like $450,000 dollars and the SL65 AMG cost around like $182,000 dollars and the SL65 almost has the same power as the SLR mclaren.

ill take the SL65 AMG, that car too is pimp.
 
It is an absolutely gorgeous car but if I had millions I would never think about purchasing one. It is only offered with one transmission, automatic?!? It is built for rich yuppies who are too self-obsessed to drive a stick cause they would have to put their cell phones down for the duration of an entire commute. It is a half million dollar piece of junk IMO. I'll take a car built for true enthusiasts who want to call their own shots when driving, like a Carerra GT.
 
hey MS22, yeah the carrera GT is a sexy car and i really like it too. porsches are hella nice and my heart belongs to the carrera GT3, now this is a real sexy car.
 
Too bad Mercedes and McClaren aren't "going steady" together anymore.

I like both the SLR and the Carrerra GT. They are both unique and they both serve different purposes, the MB for daily driving, and the Carrerra GT for weekend driving. If you've read the reviews on the Carrerra GT, it is one of the most difficult to drive manuals ever made, it either burns out or stalls. The MB, on the other hand, can be driven all the time, it's stable with one window open all the way to 197 MPH, and it looks exactly like the new SLK which makes for a car that you can park in a parking lot without too much fear. Jay Leno has both, loves both, and only drives his Carrerra GT when he has a locked garage on either end. The MB is his daily driver.
 
We saw one parking in front of Harveys Sound in Paramus, it looked impressive, bit odd at the same time. More than half the length of the car is the hood. Looks kind of like 2 different designers worked on the front and the back.
