damn guys.. come on. someone pay him the 100 bucks. that is an AWESOME deal!.

Vernon

Thanks for the Bump Vernon, I'm surprised I still have it. I wish someone had offered this deal to me when I was in the market. This thing is BRAND SPANKIN' NEW!

Yeah that is an excellent deal. I am kinda confused though. Why sell a PC when your only going to want to use it in the spring?

No disrespect RGoose18 but someone or lots of people sending you money and hoping to be the first one chosen is disconserting. To be quite honest, you have not been on this board very long and you are asking people to take a leap in faith in trusting you. Wouldn't it be better to list this item on Ebay?

My two cents worth.

I think you misunderstood my post. Although new here, I'm a very honest seller, check out my seller rating on ebay (RGoose18). I figured this PC would be scooped up within an hour, I didn't forsee such a problem. I'm not asking random strangers to send me money in some rediculous race to buy my PC. I was just a bit frustrated w/ 5 people committing to buying it and then backing out for no apparent reason. If this unit doesn't sell in another day or two it'll be posted up on ebay. I just figured I'd give you guys and the guys over at detail city first dibs on an amazing deal. thanks-Ryan

I'm sorry and don't want to rain on your parade but though you are asking a fair price for it, it's not a killer deal. Even though you paid $152 for it I've seen it either on sale or with first purchase coupon at both Lowes and Home Depot for $99 plus tax. I picked one up over the internet for $109 shipped within the last year. There are several places that are fairly accessable to the average buyer that offer it for about what you are asking. If you want to move it quickly you might want to make someone a screamin' deal.

There's no way you can find that kind of a deal over the internet now unless you get a refurbished unti through ebay. And you say you paid $109 shipped for yours, that's a good deal, but still not as good of a deal as I'm offering.

In regards to the Lowe's comment, they don't sell 7424's, they only sell 7336's.

I'm not slamming you here and not trying to mess up your sale. I'm just pointing out the obvious. The model numbers (7424, 7336 & 7335 not mentioned) on the machines you pointed out are the same machine with different backing plate/counter weight options. So yes you are right and I was wrong, Lowes doesn't have the exact model you listed but it is essentially the same machine. I believe that most people, however are going to buy a flexible backing plate with their choice of pads anyway and that the specific selling features of model 7424 makes little difference. I hope not to mislead anyone by substituting the model number. If the most important feature of this machine is the fact that it is model #7424 then what I'm saying makes no difference. The part about being able to find one of these machines (though a different model #) on the internet at the price I suggested is true.

Take a look at model #7335 5". counterweight model listed here:

http://woodworker.com/cgi-bin/FULLPRES.exe?PARTNUM=820-858&ov=8324

That's $98 and some change shipped for $108 and some change. Last time I checked that's close to $109.

The only real point I was trying to make by throwing those numbers out is: that someone can buy from a commercial web site or local store for about $10 more (virtually anytime) and not have to hurry to get a once in a lifetime deal from the new guy (as others pointed out) on the board. As I said in my first post, you are offering a good deal and I'm sure that you would deliver exactly what you have advertised but if you want to move it quickly give'em a screamer.

Anyway good luck.

You and I both know that this deal is a "screamer". I really don't care about a "very similar" model sold by store x. What I have for sale is a unit that sells for $140-150 + shipping. If a buyer wants to get the 7336, that's great, all the power to him/her. Contrary to your opinion there is a difference between the two units. Try detailing a vehicle on the highest setting w/ each model and you'll see why the 7424 is a bit pricier.

I have tried this but don't like running mine over 5. I own one of each and you are incorrect. There is no difference in the "machine". The only difference is the counter weight and and that can be changed in a couple of minutes for a couple of bucks. The debate on which of the two weights is better for detailing goes on. You need to research further, stating information that isn't factual won't further your cause on Autopia, the members are well informed. There is always E-Bay.

Here's a rundown on the differences in the packages:

By the way which do you prefer? Study up, come back and tell me why yours is better.

The reason your machine is worth $140-$150 is because some will pay it. Your EXACT product is available several places over the internet for under $130. The definition of screamin' deal is also open for debate. My definition is that once you advertise it someone must have it and it's gone and there is no one going back and forth on you.

This package includes both counter weights and a backing plate.

Heck, I'm sure you've sold it by now, I'm done. Good Luck.

Got mine from Coastal Tool for around $120 shipped. Just because you overpaid for yours doesn't make the $50 "discount" you're offering an incredible deal. For another $20 or so over your price, someone can get theirs from Coastal Tool delivered within several days and with piece of mind that they're getting it from a reputable place. You could be an honest seller, but one never knows, the Internet is full of scams and dishonesty. Just my 2 cents.

RGoose18..........maybe you should just list it on e-bay and let the market dictate what its worth.

FYI..I bought my PC 7336/w 6" counterweight + buffing pad from Lowe's about a month ago for $99.00 + tax. By filling out an online Lowe's coupon for folks that are moving soon..I received a coupon in the mail for a 10% discount on one item. I promptly took the coupon to Lowe's with my PC receipt and they gave me back $9.90. I hardly consider your deal a Screamer........

Plus..the preferred counterweight for the PC is the 6"..less vibration at high speeds..Good luck with your sale.......

That statement is total BS. They are the same machine except that the 7336 comes with a 6 inch counter weight and the 7424 comes with a 5 inch weight. If you use the machine at the highest setting you will find that the 7424 vibrates much more because of the smaller counter weight. Anybody purchasing a 7424 would be well advised to get your self a 6 inch counter weight and install it. The machine will run much smoother. By installing the 6 inch weight you have basicaly converted your 7424 into a 7336.

Nice try RGoose18:rolleyes:

Nice Try??? The7424 is a more expensive machine PERIOD. You people are rediculous. I'm selling a machine below it's value and all you can do is b itch like a bunch of women. Moderators, please lock this thread, this is useless. Good luck w/ your detailing

Hate to say it Mr. Goose, but I think you're the one that's misinformed. They are the SAME machine with different counterweights. Maybe you should do a little more reading or even delete this thread yourself.
