I have the Poly quick detailer, the poly super slick quick detailer, paint cleaner/polish, sealant conditioner, sealant, Pink Wax, and even the profession version decontaimination kit.

Just curious if anyone uses this product here. Only problem is you get so much of the stuff per bottle. ( not a bad thing I guess ) IF you have used it what do you think of it ?

I have not used it, but I am tempted to try the pink wax. Tdekany has posted some amazing details where he's used it and it looks great. I am also interested if anyone has used their 3 step paint decontamination system.

Is this the same pink wax that some guys used in spit-shinning their car? (Forgot where I read this) hmm

Not the same stuff of you are referring to the DavidB /NickT. spit shine methods. That wax was from BKB Automotive Cosmetics, called Beauty Shine 502 Pink Carnauba.

I've used the FK stuff (not all of it, just a few). My impressions were that the 218 and pink wax are glossy. Beading longevity is good (going on 4 months on the "test car"-2004 silver Sunfire.
218 seems slicker than the pink wax.
218 needs a bit of time to "cationically plate" to the paint. To me, the reflections look better a couple weeks later, as opposed to right then.
Pink wax does seem to hide swirls a bit. Thin coats is def. better than thick. Easier to remove than some carnaubas, but not (in my experience) "falling off the paint with but a wipe" easy.
Their #17 seems very mild. Haven't experimented much with it, though.
The 146 AS qd is pretty glossy, but i don't think the cleaners are that good/lubricating.
I'm not totally convinced of their claims of longevity, with regards to 2180 (1 year+), but since I haven't bought/tried it, I can't say one way or the other. :dunno

TriPinTaZ: I see that you've gone from FK to PB (on another board). Are you considering changing again?

You really can't go wrong with the Pink Wax. I cannot say enough great things about the stuff. Like a couple of posts above, it hides swirls better than any wax I have ever used, I have never used NXT though. The Pink Wax IMO is the easiest wax to apply and remove, and the results are incredible. The paste itself is soft, so a very light swipe into the can puts enough wax on the pad to do half a hood. You hust apply to the whole car, then go back where you started and buff off and be impressed! And you cannot beat the price, $15 for 15oz. :D As for durability, don't really have any information on that, I'm going on a month on my Altima and the beading is still amazing. It really is great on all colors, silver to black. I also did a review of the stuff. And I'm sorry to any vendors that might read this, but the Pink Wax is the only wax I have now. I got rid of all of the others that I had for this stuff!

****My Review****

Product name: Finish Kare USA FK1 Pink Wax #2685

Product type:Carnauba Wax

Packaging:Comes in a tin round can.(pics bellow) The can is roughly the size of the Meguiar's #16 can. The lid pops off with ease, but yet you can feel it making a good seal when you put the lid back on. Just an easy pop with a flat head screw driver will do the trick.

Application:I used a Pakshak yellow foam applicator. I dampened the applicator using Adam's Detail Spray. With the can being roughly the size of Meguiar's #16, the applicator fits in very easy. The product itself is very soft, which is a plus for me. One very light swipe into the can puts enough product on the applicator for an average door, or half a hood. A little swipe goes a long way, trust me! I let the product set up to a haze, in my case about 15 minutes, then buff off to an incredible finish. Removal is very easy, in my case I used a Pakshak yellow ultra fine.

Smell:About as good as any chemical can smell I guess, without any smell good additives. So not very good I would say. But you don't get a wiff of the product as you work with it, so the smell really doesn't effect antyhing.

Personal opinion:This is my new, and quite possibly my only Carnauba wax. No i'm not kidding. So far I have tried this product on silver, black, and dark red. Every color has a deep, wet reflection. It's almost weird how it looks so similiar on every color, but compliments the color without hindering it.(Spell check on that one) It's just one of those products that really catches the eye when you look at it!

Price:$14.77

Size:15oz

Pros:
--Price
--Amount of product
--Easy application and removal
--Versatility on different colors

Cons:
--None Yet :xyxthumbs

I Agree that the Pink Wax was one of the BEST looking waxes I have ever used.

I have both the 218 and the 2180 sealants. The 2180 is supposed to have a wetter look from what hte owner of FK1 told me but I honestly couldnt tell a difference between the two. Both looked great.

I also have both of the QD products from FK1. There is a poly wipe for dirty/dusty cars and the super slick poly wipe (pink smells liek bubble gum) which is for clean cars or to be used right after washing. Both leave a great slick feel but the pink colored super slick poly wipe definatly makes the car look great if you use it right after a wash. It seems to rejuvinate the Pink Wax or any other wax you have on the car.

Bigleegr: I like trying different products on my car to see how they look, in all honesty I was extremely pleased with the look of the FK1 products. Below is a picture of my car with the 2180 fk1 sealant and Pink wax and then a picture of Poorboys EX-P and Nattys paste wax. In all honesty I think the FK1 stuff looks better. What do you all think ??

Tdekany and a few others do excellent work, so I am always thinkng
that it is the prep work more than the LSP, that really makes the
difference. That said, I too am impressed with Pink Wax. It manages to
hide swirls a lot more than the other heavy wax I regularly use (#16).
I also find that gives a nice wet look to the paint. Can't speak to
it's durability since like a fool I topped it with the Poly Wipe.

I've used the decon kit, and I can tell you that it is good.
Using it has helped reduce some of the time involved in work that
would have normally required a clay bar. Now if I use the clay, it's
for spot work.
