Anyone having trouble layering Z2pro?

I have had the best results applying zaino by hand. Are you layering back to back coats?

I know the 3 coats per day rule of thumb was used because zaino gets so slick it can't really bite onto itself. Once a wash and drive the car a few times, the layer abrades a bit on a microscopic level (wind resistance, toweling, washing, etc) so it can get a better bite onto itself.

This is why a lot of formulas contain abrasives.....but they don't "really" layer.

I used a dry foam hand pad, and even on a cool, humid early December day, no problems putting on and removing 3 layers in about an hour (Z2 Pro w/ZFX). :)

Never had the problem you mentioned. Try without adding water to moisten the pad. I'm fairly certain that I read that Z2 and water don't play well together, though I can't recall where right now. Just spritz the pad with Z6. I normally apply two layers with a PC (grey finishing pad). I mix one ounce of Z2Pro/SFX, and apply it as two 1/2 ounce layers. Starting with a dry clean car, normal routine is:

Z6 Car.

Apply 1/2 oz. with PC (Spritz pad with Z6 at beginning and 1/2 done)

Have cup of coffee (optional).

Wipe off car.

Z6 Car.

Apply second 1/2 ounce.

Wipe off car.

Z6 car.

I usually don't apply Z8 for a couple days to a week.

Hope that helps.
