how do ya like it?
anyone good at poetry? i have to do this project that involves making a poem. in this poem, there has to be instances of...

imagery (sight, smell, touch, etc.)
figures of speech (metaphor, simile, personification, etc.)
sound repetition (rhyme, assonance, consancne, alliteraiton)
verbal irony (sarcasm, understatement etc.)

although you guys may not know what many of these are, im open to suggestions... i plan on writing a poem about being LEFT HANDED, so im open to any suggestions!!! thanks!
 
I'm actually a published poet. I don't usually tell many people that, because at work I would get harrassed non stop if they knew that. When is the poem due? If you give me a day or two, I could probably give you a hand. In case anyone is wondering, here is one of the poems that is published.

Outcome
I have often pondered the value of my very existance.
Was I actually put here for a reason?
Am I just another expendable piece of flesh in this game we call life?
Does what I do with my life have an oceanic affect?
Or does it just make a single ripple in the small puddle next to me?
Does it matter if I fail or succeed?
If it does, whom does it matter to?
For now, all I can do is live my life one day to the next.
What will the outcome of my actions be?
No need to guess; for the outcome will change with every step I take,
every thought i create, and every decision I make.

Glad to see you back here Zesty. I actually had to write a poem for a stupid GenEd class last semester, Intro to Fiction, and consulted my CD cases and www.azlyrics.com. Worked for me, just dont pick anything that a teacher would know about and you are in.
 
wow, thats great to hear audi boy. the poem is due on friday. i really could use some help. im assuming you know what most of these terms are? thanks!!!
