Anyone going to NOPI this Saturday?

My friend Bret and I will be there checking out the cars and hopefully the Mother's booth if Forrest plans to attend.

Anyone else going from Autopia?

Let us know, maybe we can have a meeting place/time...

Like I said elsewhere, I got roped into going down with a client who is a sponsor. I imagine I will be tied up with their group. If I am not, I will give you a call on your cell.

Does Super Street still do their Super Street Tour? We went in 2001. I road shotgun with my buddy in his 2001 Civic and his other friend took his Neon. We drove from Detroit to Baltimore where it started. The only bad thing is the farther down you go the more people that join the tour and the stupider people drive. I can not even tell you how many wrecked cars ended up at Atlanta Motor Speedway that where perfect at the start of the tour two days earlier.

No problem with that Bob. Tons of police presence which kept the kids behaving. ;)

The show was just okay this year. Some nice cars but not nearly as good as 04. Bit of a boring over-commercialized corporate vibe this year.

Certainly not worth the outrageous $40 one-day pass price. :(

Still had fun though as Bret and I went two exits down to the way cool Summit Racing store and warehouse. That was way better and free. :)

That is sad to hear it is getting that way. When we went in 2001 it was a very good show.

I went on Saturday. I was very bored!!! Lucky for me I did not have to pay to get in and I am only 9 miles from the race track so I didn't waste any gas either. I was sad to see that their was only one vendor selling detailing products and they were the AutoMagic line. I was also surprised to see most of the "SHOW" cars had swirls all in their paint. The drifting expo was kinda cool though. I have never seen that before. I was also told that next year they are having it in Texas instead of Atlanta. I thought that NOPI "Number One Parts Inc." was based out of Atlanta.

Side note - I still have a 1st place trophy from the NOPI Nationals in 1994. It was for a 1985 S-10 Blazer with a paint job that I did in my drive way with no garage.
