Anyone get pad staining from SSR1?

I'm new to the PC and just ordered a kit last week. I began using it and noticed that the SSR1 is staining the white polishing pad a dark pink color. I've washed it twice with detergent and the pad is still a dark pink. Is it safe to use the pad again? Will the polish harden and scratch the paint if I use it?

Also, if I wash a pad, is it safe to put another type of product on it? Thanks guys.

That's normal. It's not the polish left in the pad, it's the coloring. You're fine to reuse it. As long as it is thoroughly cleaned, you can use another type of product on it. No big deal about using a similar product on it in any case, as long as it's not caked with the first one. Only problem with that is if you go from using an oily polish to a non-oily one, you might have oily paint after.

Yep. I've gotten staining too. But as Setec said, the pad is good to go for the next time after cleaning, even with the staining.

Yeah...I noticed the same thing. My white pad was stained dark pink from the SSR1, but my yellow pad comes out completely clean...no staining at all from the SSR2.5. I washed both pads by hand at the same time using the Sonus der wonder wash or whatever its called for pad cleaning too.

Is it ok to just throw these things in a washer? Its not the top loader, its a front loading washer. I didnt get any "special" soap to wash these things. Ill just use liquid tide i guess, and no bleach.
