has anyone ever used "P21S Concours Carnauba Wax"? If so is it worth the 30-40 dollar price tag comparative to other waxes?

Right now i am using "Pinnacle XMT180 High Gloss Carnauba Paste Wax" and "Pinnacle Liquid Souveran™ Wax"

Looking forward to your answers.

P.S i just realized , this may be in the wrong section! sorry.

No this is the right section.

No, I haven't tried it but now I am curious about a couple of the statements made though.
Use this carefully, wiping and buffing while it is still not fully "set" or dry.
Does this mean that it should be wiped before it dries, or do you wait till it does dry?
Take time to remove any wax that gets into little crevices like logos or around small metal joints or it will turn black over time and ruin the look of the bike
Why would it turn black and wouldn't that mean the same thing would happen on your paint?

Is this the "new" P21S product?

I don't know anything about P21S, but I have used S100 Carnauba which many people seem to think is/was the same thing as the "old" P21S.
It is applied to a section and immediately wiped off. You don't let it dry to a haze. I have no idea if it would be difficult to remove if you did let it dry, but there is probably a reason they recommend against it.

The turning black sounds strange. The S100 didn't leave visible residue in cracks, around emblems or on plastic trim. That was one of the things I liked about the product. I think having to tape off your vehicle before waxing it is something that shouldn't need to be done.
I don't remember any residue from the S100 turning black and I'm sure I didn't always get 100% of it removed.
It was a good product for a wax and if I hadn't switched to using sealants, I would very likely still be using it.
It has decent durability, takes very little to do a vehicle, (I would guess a jar would do 30 to 50 applications), and the S100 was about 1/2 the price of the P21S.
Both P21S and S100 make a paint cleaner that is a good prep for their waxes. It isn't a swirl remover and has very little if any abrasive action.
Like any product, reading and following the instructions is a good idea. :)

I have it and use it occasionally for customers that are "anti sealant". You do indeed wipe it on and wipe it off with no "set" time. It is the easiest wax to use that I have come across yet. Brilliiant shine but longevity is so so at best. I'm talking about the original formula not the newest one......have not used that one yet.

If I had bothered to check before I posted, I would have known that the original version is what Luxury Detail was referring to.
That is the one that is considered to be quite similar if not identical to the S100 Carnauba.
I don't know that they are similar and could never understand why a manufacturer would sell an identical product under a different name for 1/2 the money.
One other thing I remember about the S100. After driving in a rain, the paint seemed to have very little dirt left on it. The rain seemed to be able to wash much of it off.

I have never used the P21S but I have used their
Pinnacle Souveran paste wax and they recommend wiping it on and off and not to wait for it to haze
I like the PS on my BLACK car but when it when to 80Bucks for just a small jar I went looking for something else.
I guess they did me a favor because if they had left it at $59.00 I would probably still be using it but when it went to 80 bucks I started looking for a replacement and I found something that looks just as good to me and it cost just a fraction of PS and lasts much longer.:bigups
I win:D

And that product is?:howdy

I've used both S100 and PS100 with great results. IMO neither last longer than four weeks in Florida heat. S100 is made for bikes but works on cars also. Both are easy to apply and wipe off. Just be sure the paint is clean otherwise you want get the full result. I think the PS 21 is close to Zymol carbon or creame just don't cost as much.

I use both DG105 and PS but they are two different animals as far as I'm concerned. I really prefer the looks of carnauba so I usually top DG105 with one. Like black bart I have PS but won't be buying it again because of the price, there are just too many great carnauba's out there for way less $.

i use p21 the nite before a show. imo it's a show wax not long at all on durability. gives outstanding wettness to the finish. as has been said s100 i think is the same wax at a fraction of the cost.

That has always been something that confused me. (Easy to do.:))
How is the paint different on my motorcycle than it is on my car? Why would it be priced less when used for motorcycles. Maybe Bikers can't afford the P21S.

I used both Klasse AIO and S100 Shine Enhancing Cleanser as a prep for the S100 with good results. Given what I'm using for prep today, I would probably use Poorboy's PwS for the prep.

On the subject of motorcycles, S100 Total Cycle Cleaner is available at Honda dealers under the Honda label.

One wax that seems to be overlooked at least I
don't read much about it here is #26
I think it depends on the color of the vehicle what result you get but my wife drives a red Explorer this is a wine red not fire engine red.
I used # 80 then DG-105 and topped it with Meg #26 and boy it looked good.
This car is not driven much and kept in a climate controlled garage year round so the 26 lasted all winter.
