Anyone ever deal with Downtown Auto Spa? *problem*

I purchased a 32oz bottle of Menzerna IP and FPII and this is what they sent me.

How sketchy is this? I've never used these products so don't know what they should look like (polish itself). What should I do???

Were they supposed to be new? Maybe this will help. The IP is supposed to be white while the FPII is medium to darker gray.

Yep they were supposed to be knew... took awhile to get them since they had to order them from the states. Just a little shocked they would send something like this to a customer.

Ok at least the color of the polishes match up like you said. Thanks.

I would send them back, tell them you want *new* bottles with the labeling - you have no idea if they are scamming you...it only takes a couple squeezes of real product to give the color of the polish...Dont be afraid to raise some :angry that is just ridiculous

On another note, where else can I order Menzerna products from? They were the only place I found when I was first looking.

well it all depends on were you order them from and how they describe them to you also if u got a good price, did you place your order online or over the phone?

again i can make recommendation to where to purchase in the states like Josh did but r you looking to purchase in the states or out.....

i remember someone order 32 oz or 16oz size but a different brand of polish and the dealer send them aftermarket bottles like you recieve not the original but when he order them they stated up front they didnt have any small size only gallons so they broke it down or they called him back about this..

again as long as it is the product and you happy with the del and price whats to worry....in reality the product is what counts not the bottle.......but dont get me wrong we all want the orginal bottle and labels

I paid $31 per 32oz bottle. They never mentioned anything about shipping it to me in the bottles they did. I placed the order online, but had good communication with them using email and even called them twice to inquire about the product and purchase.

www.carcaresmart.ca also carries some Menzerna :)

They don't have IP for FPII listed on their site :/

I would report them and file a formal complaint with the Attorney General of the State that they are in. C'mon, this is nonsense.

You tell me how does one know what is in the bottle?

Proper labelling of a product sold retail inter/intra state is a requirement of the US Government.

This is in Canada, so none of that is relevant

I wanted to order Menzerna through them but went with Classic Motoring in Florida.

Speaking with the owners, they told me their supplier no longer carried Menzerna so they were looking for another supplier (at the time). They have another supplier where they order Menzerna for their shop (in bulk quantities in cannisters??) and told me if I was in a rush they would be willing to sell some of their shop supply. I'm pretty certain that is exactly what they did for you hence the ugly looking, recycled bottles.

Personally I've never had a problem with them it's up to you however. I'm sure if you do end up keeping it and you find it's not to your satisfaction they'll refund your money.

I haven't had a problem with their service yet but I do find they seem to be ages behind in keeping their inventory stocked.

Ya, I spoke with them and thats what they said... they buy the stuff in gallons, thats why its in the recycled containers. They assured me it was the right product and appologized for the way it looks. I tried the polishes on an old hood I had in the garage and they seem to do their job! I was really impressed with the results.

omg.. I can't believe they sent you those bottles.. I buy from them occasionally (walk-in).. I can't believe they sell rebottled stuff at a retail package price.

I have never sold my customers anything of that nature. For all you know, there is Meg's or mothers products in those bottles. What kind of a business presents there products in that fashion?? I would send that back and request a full refund incl shipping. Order from someone else next time.

Wow and I was thinking Downtown Auto Spa was pretty good detail wise. Always ask Canadians who travel back and forth between USA/CAD
