Anyone Else a Fan of Overcast Skies?

Having a metallic silver car, I'm always appreciative of the overcast skies. Silver looks better in those conditions (mimics dawn/dusk periods of the day). IMHO, indirect lighting brings out the best in silver.



In addition, the windshield looks crystal clear as there there's no sunlight to highlight the various nicks on the windshield.



Just my 2 cents...
 
Only during VERY specific moments;

Washing and detailing when I'm in my driveway (and not indoors at the shop) so I have more time before the soaps dry on the car. :bawling:



Other than that ... can't think of anytime I'd rather see my efforts muted by clouds.

Now that the weather in the upper 48's is cold ... I want the sun ALL the time! :cool:
 
I love cloudy days, always have, don't know why. Every thing just looks different. It doesn't affect my mood either. Then again I live on So. Ca where we get more sunny days than cloudy ones so maybe its the change in weather that I like.
 
That's another thing, my mood is highly affected by the weather. I am *always* in better spirits in the late spring/summer/early fall or it is warm and sunny out. Maybe it's because the weather here overall isn't really great.:nixweiss



I usually wash in the garage anyways, so if it is sunny out it doesn't really matter too much (although I prefer washing outside).
 
I don't mind it, like the other's said. Gives me the time to get the water off before it dries on the paint.
