Anyone doing any detailing over the weekend?

GOT PREP?
First I have to give my car a QEW tonight. :)

Then tomorrow I have a viper(blue with the white racing stripes) and a cadillac CTS-v (black), on Sunday I have a 71 mustang(black). :woot:

Looks like the weather is going to cooperate as well, sunny and around 40 each day!!!

Thats awesome. A have a friend that has a garage that has a indoor drain so I will be washing and cleaning up the 4Runner tomorrow. I might even try and get another coat of Collonite on.

With this 4 inches of snow that we got today I know its going to get dirty quick. :(

Since just about every detailing job this week had to be re-scheduled due to either the cold or snowy weather (and it's only the first week of December) I've got a couple of cars to do this weekend and a full line-up next week. And sunny, 40 degree days would be just perfect.

I feel guilty even posting those temps/conditions with what you guys face, I can't imagine.

There are days here in Jan/Feb when the high is in the teens, but for the most part we have fairly mild winter by comparison.

If the weather holds out, I think I may be doing a Purple E36 M3 vert. We'll see. Sounds like you got a weekend full of cool rides.

Yeah I'll be polishing/waxing my sink, and maybe parts of my bathroom. I also bring my shift knob inside every weekend to clean/condition the leather and wax the aluminum. :)

We just got dumped on with about 8 inches of white stuff. Over the weekend, I'll be happy if it just all melts.

I am probably going to finish painting my stock wheels over, then HOPEFULLY break down my car, clay, polish, and seal for the winter.

I have like 5 inches or so here now. On Sunday it is supposed to be 40 degrees and sunny, so I will wash my car in the sun at the foot of the driveway so the water runs into the street to freeze that night. I already have AIO + Collinite x 2 + OCW x 2. I want to add FK Pink Wax.

I know of 3 people who want their cars done, but I just don't feel like it. I'm pooped from shoveling a ton of wet snow and I want to chill this weekend in the warmth.

QEW has been given many positive reviews over the years, but is it really that good. I still can't believe it safely cleans a dirty car. I mean, there's the paint (and the LSP), then the dirt - the majority of which isn't removed like it is when pre-rinsing with the hose - and the lightly applied and diluted QEW lubricants and cleaners are able to penetrate the dirt and protect the finish while you go over the surface with a bucket of QEW solution and your mit?

I've got a nice heated garage to work on a 2006 Nissan Titan.. Black..

its brand spanking new except minor oxidation from sitting on lot..

i'm gonna VM, RMG, Megs #21 , then top with souveran.. Oooooooooooooh.. stay tuned for the pics..

then when I'm done that, get back home and do my Optimum Hyper compound test pt. II

wanna come over ? the beer's on me ?

I'd like to wash this weekend (and I think it will be warm enough here to do it), but with 6" of snow on the ground and melting, I don't think I'd get too far on the road before the WRX looks exactly as it does now . . . filthy. :(

I might have to wash it anyway. Withdrawal symptoms suck.

I'll be happy if I can sneak in a QEW session this weekend.

RobD, FWIW, I mulled over the thought of buying QEW for about a year. Continuously reading theads here about how great it was. When I finally broke down and bought the jug from Campingworld I was very impressed. I usually presoak during the winter time. I use a garden sprayer with water and a little QEW mixed in.

If you consider last night and today, I just got done doing my tC in preparation for the detailfest at autogeek tommorow. I'll be bringing my PC to the even so Ill probably help out someone down there. And then sunday I have my normal lineup of 3 matinence washes.

weather conditions: partly cloudy with a slight chance of rain. Temperatures: mid 80's :woot:

i'll be doing a qew wash (no tires, no wheelwells, full interior, maybe motor) 2morrow because it gonna be 35 high...next weekend it will be mid 40's so maybe i can get in a full detail but it looks like it will rain all next weekend :(

I've got an X5, S500 and Chevy 2500HD to wash and an exterior detail on a brand new '06 330i on Saturday and hopefully an '06 911 Carrera S on Sunday.
