Got a call today about a correction on a Painted Delorean, anybody done one?? OEM painted SS according to the owner. Going to look at it and take some readings. Just wondering if anything different needs to be done?

Never seen a painted Delorean! Was it painted at the factory, or is it an aftermarket paint job? I wouldn't think anything special would need to be done, but I'd be getting a damage waiver for that one just in case, just because it's a paint job on a car that's not meant to have paint on it.

No matter, just treat it as you would any unknown aftermarket painted finish. (i.e .with suspicion until you've figured out how it behaves.)

Check with my friend, Don Steger, of Delorean Motor Center of Garden Grove. I have seen painted ones at his shop.

Should be able to treat it like any other car then. Do a test spot and go from there.
Be careful of the stripes though if they're painted on.
