My Clear coat on my 2001 subaru is bubbling and chipping away around a single rear window!!

unfortunatly its past warranty milage, even tho its obviously a defective paint job:rolleyes:

Just wonderinf if there is anyway for me to stop the progress(already see its getting worse) or even repairing it?

What is the best way to remove stubborn dried wax in little crevices that is showing white on my black car =(

If the clear coat only is chipping away, the vehicle has probably been repainted at some time.
This happens quite often when the surface is not prepped properly.
You could try wet sanding and buffing (you will need a rotary for this), but you will end up with a line where the original clear and the repainted clear blend.
The other alternative is to take it to a body shop and have it repainted.
I don't know about Subarus, but a lot of manufactures will cover a paint defect like you describe after the normal 3 year warranty providing that it is their fault from the factory.

Definitely worth checking out the possiblity of the mfg. taking care of it.
GM took care of a paint adhesion problem on one area of my 1988 Astro van when it was close to 5 years old.
Seems like they had a few paint problems in the '80's. :D

GM also took care of some paint problems on a 98 Jimmy in late 2003 when it was long out of warranty.
Many times getting things like this taken care of has a lot to do with the dealership you take it too.
