Any tips on buying a BMW 3-series?

Thanks for the tips, folks. And, Hellrot, your comments are confirming what I'm reading elsewher. I'm strongly leaning to the 328ci over the 323 now.

Yep, that's my plan. Get the most swirled-up, neglected paint I can find. And definitely black. :D
