Before my '03 Cobra, I had a '02 mineral gray GT. Zaino made the metallic stand up nicely and made a great reflection.

We have a mineral grey Ford Explorer and I have used Klasse, Zaino and WG. I have WG on the Explorer now and it has a nice warm glow to it.

If you are looking for 'pop' I would recommend either Zaino or Klasse. I can't really discern the difference to be honest between the two. What I can tell you is that to me WG seemed to be more warm while the Klasse and Zaino both seemed to have more depth and 'pop' if you will. Klasse with a topper, i.e. PPG/Liquid Souveran has always been a combo that I like on the Explorer.

Just one person's opinion.

what's the difference between mineral grey and dark shadow grey?

I painted my CL Fords Dark Shadow Grey and I like NXT or p21s/s100 on it. They really make the metallic dance.

Dark shadow gray is more of a charcoal, while the mineral gray has a gold tint.

Mineral gray has been very popular...and will be used on the new '05 Mustangs. It was cancelled for the '03 model year on Mustangs and replaced with dark shadow gray.

I would try one of these:

Zaino

VM/EX-P

VM/Four Star UPP

Klasse AIO/SG ( I did this with a black/silver Saturna nd it looked great.

Well as soon as I heard Mineral Grey, I knew you were doing a 99+ Mustang (I'd guess 2001). Perhaps one of the best colors at hiding dirt and dust, but anyway--if I'm not mistaken, that color has metal flake in it, so whatever you typically use for flaked paints, use the same. I used #16 on my father's Crimson Pearl Cadillac and it was outstanding!! 3M PI III MG was the polish used.

Check out the pics of the Silverado i detailed a little while ago. I used Blackfire for the painted surfaces and a variety of products for everything else. The Silverado has dark metallic grey paint, so I assume it is close to what you will be working on. The blackfire really made the metallic stand out, as can be seen in the close up of the hood.

While I liked the Blackfire, I also would rate NXT very highly on this color. The last few pictures are of NXT.

I have a 2004 Passat with Blue Anthracite paint (looks more like charcoal grey!)

NXT topped with #16 is the best combo I've found using the Meguiar's line and looks incredible!

Zaino looks killer on grey...really brings out the metallic....

yeah it does, that looks nice :up

...and then there's always 4-star UPP, which I think looks very nice on Chevrolet pewter (maybe comparable to mineral grey, if it has gold tones in it?). It makes the paint glow more than pop in my opinion. This is UPP over AIO or #80, I can't remember which (sorry, not the best pics to show this combo off).
