Any recommendations? This could be a home run.

Hello all,
I was hoping to get some input on a car I am doing later today. It is a 2016 Dodge Challenger SRT in a beautiful red with like 30 miles on it. It got the dealer installed swirl option, lol, and I am taking care of it today as well as sealing and waxing it. In everyone's experience, is there anything I need to know about Dodge paint? I understand it is the softest of all American manufacturers, but I will always do a test spot. The swirls are minor but are there.. I will be using Iron X and the CarPro Decon Pad on a DA, I'm sure it has rail dust on it. I will coating this car in a month or less with likely BF Crystal Coat, multiple coats I am sure. I know that there is so many waxes and sealants in my arsenal, I can definitely get it looking right. In the vast amount of experience that exists on here, what would be the combo you'd use for this car? I have nearly everything, and if I don't I will get it so please give me some recommendations?
Look forward to hearing your suggestions.

Here is the pic of the car. I will include more pics when complete.

Since you're coating it in less than a month, I'd put something on there that's going to be easy to take off in the near future. How about Pinnacle Souveran Paste Wax? USA wax for an American car, and it looks great on red paint.

You are right. I did think about Menzerna but I knew I'd be stripping it soon and that stuff doesn't want leave when you apply it. There is always a chance he will decide not to spend the money. PS, the original, does make red shine. My car is red and I love the look it gives. Thanks!

I agree with Vega. Pinnacle Souvern will make that red beautiful and give it some protection until you are able to get it coated. Did you retire out of Ft. Jackson. My Father retired from there and still lives there. I went to high school there for a year and went through basic at Ft. Jackson. Spent a lot of time there getting my disability paperwork pushed through also. Really nice looking car, enjoy!

I have a red Dodge Ram and yes the clear is fairly soft I have noticed the wax pads leaving small traces of micro marring on my truck. As far as red, that color absorbs the highest amount of UV over any other color. My personal favorite is stacking a carnauba and a sealant. That gives an amazing wet look. Product wise I guess I can tend to be biased lol but CG Extreme Depth and JetSeal are my personal favorites for my truck. I get a lot of compliments with the depth.

Did you pay extry for the dealer installed swirls or was it included free of charge? <hehe I crack myself up>

If yer going to have it coated I think I might wait and polish just before it's coated - in the meantime, I think I'd just use a spray wax that will be easy to remove.

I ended up just using Midnight Sun from BF after explaining the variables to the customer. No LSP yet, but he did want the scratches gone that where on the trunk lid. I used BF SRC and BF FP. Scratches were stubborn enough to have to use the FLEX PE-14 for removal with compound, and the RUPES 21 with the FP. No significant polishing was even needed aside from small problem areas. But for anyone who does not believe new cars don't need clayed or decontamination, please see the pics where I sprayed this car with less than 50 miles down with IronX.

I have now seen for myself first hand, just how much "New" cars require decontamination. Here are pics of the finished car.

Wheels: Trix then Iron X (there was some goop on the rims that did not want to leave) Sealed with Dr. Beasley's Spray Sealant, 2 coats of CG VRP diluted 2:1 with Distilled H2O
Wash: BFRW and for pretreated problem areas with BFWW.
Decon: CarPro Decon Disc on GG6 DA, Iron X, Nano Glide from Nanoskin for Lube
Compound/Polish: only needed on trunk lid, BF SRC with Flex PE14, BFFP with Rupes21 (is it just me or is BF FP almost exactly the same thing as Menzerna SF 4000 or 4500?)
Protection: BF Midnight Sun topped with CG Blitz Acrylic Spray Sealant for dust repelling abilities.
Glass: Pinnacle Glass Coat
Trim: Of label use, but I have great success with it.. WG Liquid Seal applied to trim, you can apply liberally and if there is any that gets onto paint, just wipe it off with MF

Thanks to everyone for the recommendations and great advice. Hopefully I will get to use BF Crystal Coat on this in the near future and if so, I will give updates. Thanks fellow Autopians!
