I'm searching for a stationary vac/extractor unit. Right now i just have the mini sanatire but its a paint to lug around and the hose is really short.

The only one i came across is this one.

I hope im allowed to post links like this.

Thanks,

IMO, That’s about as overkill as something could be. Have you looked into a steamer and a wet- dry vac? What advantage do you see in a stationary unit?

Haha you guys are funny,

I havent even called on the price yet. I'd like an extractor vacuum combo.

I've also been searching for a commercial steamer but have only found the ones made by daimer.

Are you guys with the steam cleaners even using your extractor?

This would be used in a full size cargo van/trailer.

Thanks,

Jordan

Vapor Clean TR5 or TR6 is killer. What’s a extractor LOL............?

Most of the high end cars are leather and nothing compared to cleaning dirty leather with steam.

We use the Vapor Clean TR6 Steamer AND the Century 400 Sensei. Steamers may clean quite well, but they do not remove anything...

If I understand you correctly, you're looking for a stationary vac/extractor unit for mobile use?

You'll run into hurdles/stoppers regarding power supply. A serious extractor requires 40 (FORTY!) amps, and household circuits deliver 15 amps, typically. Add a Steamer (11 amps?) to that, and, well, you see the issue.

That's one reason why I contend (flame suit on) that mobile detailers can't perform the same level of work as Professional/Fixed Shop.

Oh, I'm gonna get it for this one!

Well Jim, That's why you buy a bigger generator haha.

I checked out the vapor steam unit, very tempting. Are there any other good units on the market i should be aware of?

Right now i use the sanitire extractor, the little one. It does a decent job. I hate the fact that the hose is so short and the tank has to emptied half-way through. I could probably make the hose longer but i dont want to decrease suction power.

I also use a 6hp dayton vacuum which for $150 was a great buy.

Say power or $ wasn't an issue for what would be your optimum Vacuum, extractor, pressure washer, steamer setup?

After watching the "ultimate dealer's video", I'm really in love with hose he set his van up.... Tool box towels and spray bottles all in the back, all of the washing equipment hoses, I assume he had a tank vacuum and extractor in there too. I was thinking it would be nice to have an air real located in the back of the van too.

Sorry for the long post,

Jordan

40 amps X 120V = 4800 watts, which can be done Mobile with the proper generator.

Granted the mobile detailers working out of their hatchbacks probably couldn't

but some of us run full size cargo vans.

consider yourself got .. :rofl

We are the best of both worlds, mobile and fixed. Looks like you say the same thing on your web page about mobile LOL....... I added a mobile service for the customers benefit and not myself. Especially working moms who make up a large portion of my demographics.

Why not use steam with 6.5hp wet-dry Vac? If 6.5 hp can’t “EXTRACT then toss the carpet!!!

A 6.5hp vac can still have really poor lift, hp is not always the best indicator of extraction. When looking for any vacuum be it wet/dry, commercial or home use always find one with the highest lift. Anything lower than 100" of water lift really won't cut it for extraction IMHO.

More then agree but with steam, no need to concern yourself with solid water extraction.

almost $4,000 for two kitchen pots joined together? Looks like its a pretty capable machine? It sounds like they are claiming it to have pressure washer capabilities.

4k geeeez !!! I’m sure they could finance that or put it on a credit card. Some poor guy spent like 17k with them for a trailer, that unit and all the works, turn key. I guess he went and did a few details and figured it wasn’t for him and put it on ebay. He didn’t get any offers so I offered him 5k for everything. I never heard back from the dude LOL.............

The only time I use steam is for stains, how well does it work for actual cleaning? It doesn’t really seem like it would deep clean carpet very well. Usually one would need something with a good psi and agitation to deep clean the fibers of most any carpet. Maybe someday I will try and steam and vac, let it dry then do a full on extraction and see how it chalks up. If it works better that would save a bit lugging around huge equiptment:).

A few bits of info. I have a Century 400 Sensei. It can be run on 15 amp circuits without problems. I do not see why you would not be able to run it off of a good generator. A steamer does not replace a good carpet extractor. This is especially true for dirty carpets and mats. HP claims for wet/dry vacuums is simply for marketing purposes. Instead, concentrate on water lift and CFM (cubic feet per minute). CFM measures the amount of air the vacuum motor moves. The more the better.

I would assume the detailers in the high humid or colder states would welcome steam cleaning in auto’s, especially considering the microcosm effect?
