Any knowledge of ozone machines

I am familiar with how they work, I was wondering if this machine in particular was worth $150 and if it was powerful enough for cars and around the house. Is it true that if you let it run longer it covers more area?
This one was pretty cheap, so Im thinking about buying it

PLASMATRON-1000
The Plasma-Tron 1000 produces ozone, at concentrations not exceeding 50ppb, a concentration acceptable by Underwriters Laboratory Guideline #867. Ozone oxidizes odors caused by Volatile Organic Chemicals and kills mold and bacteria. The Plasma-Tron 1000 is completely silent. It is your own portable air freshener. The Pulsating Plasma Field generates air movement of 600 feet per minute without the use of moving parts. Each unit covers 1500 cubic feet (A 20 ft x 20 ft x 8 ft room). Plasma-Trons can be used in conjunction with ionizers in all spaces.

Specifications: Its dimensions in inches (4 X 5 X 1 3/4); Ion Density 100,000 per cc/sec; WATTS <3; Power Requirements 120VAC 60Hz; Color black. Shipping Weight 2 lb.

I have the mobile pro plus made by RGF enbironmental. It is maybe 3 feet long and maybe 6 inches by 6 inches wide/high. It retails for almost $500, however, I got it for $400 because the company I got it from (no names) made a mistake. Anyways it works great. I run it for 20 minutes or so with every interior detail. Makes the car smell really fresh with out any overwhelming fragrance.

If you're serious about buying one, check out hydroponics stores. I saw one similar to the one above for around $120.

Despite what the EPA claims, they are effective at removing odors. I think if you use a little common sense no one will be harmed. I have breathed the gas for short periods of time with no ill effects.

i have a 'livingair' home unit. I place it on the 'cold air return' register and let the furnace circulate the Ozonified (sp!?) air. I usually do this when i step out for the day..I dont run it when in the house. It completely kills all odours especially pets and stinky carpets.

Thanks for the advice guys, I think Im convinced. Another great reason to love DC.

Although, shotime, I never looked for detailing supplies in hydroponics stores, Mabe I should visit them more often LOL

We use (Much Larger) ozone generators in the bottled water industry to inject ozone into the water because of how effective it is at killing bacteria(s) etc. I have no experience with a small type like tha, but I imagine it would be somewhat effective at killing mold/bacteria as well as deodorizing.
