i have one and a porter cable.....the cyclo kicks its butt, in my opinion.

I really hate to do the "go search" thing but we've gone over the pros/cons of Cyclos in great detail a few times.
I have two Cyclos, my older one being from the mid-80s. I simply love them but they do have their limitations.
Yeah, they're *really* and I mean *REALLY* well-built. They'll last forever and the rarely-required rebuilds are inexpensive.
There were cord issues a few years ago, but that's no biggie to get sorted out.
The PC, with 4" pads, is *MORE* aggressive than the Cyco, and by a surprisingly large margin.
But the Cyclo is the polisher I enjoy using the most.

It has excellent corrective power, very minimal learning curve, and makes it very difficult (if not impossible) to burn the paint. On one of my test pieces, I let it sit with an aggressive polish and yellow pad on one spot and it didn't burn through. Try that with a rotary, heh.
The biggest trick I've found is using the right product combination with it - for me, that's gloss-it products. Previously I was a a big fan of Menzerna, but I could never do a perfect correction with them - a great correction, yea, but never perfect. Had very little luck with 1z and Meguiars stuff (other than 83) on it. But gloss-it extreme cut and evolution polish changed that.
I prefer it over my flex 3401 - I was kind of surprised to find that the flex, while more powerful (and capable of burnign paint, hehehe) just had a little bit more corrective power (with my technique&products) than the cyclo....and I would gladly trade a bit of correction for more safety.
