Another Zaino Question

I did the Zaino thing two weeks ago, 2 coats of Z5 and 2 of Z2. THe car does look great but I have also washed it about 3 times and have been in heavy rain. THe paint still looks like it is waxed and the water still beads nicely, it just doesn't feel like it was just waxed. Is the wax still on there? One other thing, my car is dark blue and no matter how long I let the Z2 sit on it for, the is some hazing left behind that is only able to be removed with the Z6 after I remove all the wax, is this normal?

Well, there is no *wax* in Zaino but the *sealant* protection is still there. No product maintains it's just-applied feel and look after a few washes and rainstorms but Zaino holds up as well if not better than any other product IMO. If you want the super-slick restored, a quick detail with Z6 is all you should need.

Usually the cause of hazing is excess product applied. Keep working on your application technique to get it as thin as possible. Also weather affects Zaino a little more than other products because it has no oils and almost no solvents to help prevent streaking/smearing. If you're working on a hot humid day, Z2 will be a little fussy but as you've found, a little Z6 to flash cure it will solve the problems.

My thoughts exactly. Can't tell ya how many times I thought I was using a small amount of Z2 and realized it was just a little bit too much and had a heck of a time getting it removed cause I'd just keep pulling it off and it would rehaze....argh.

As previously stated your probably applying to much but you didn't state if your using the Z1 or ZFX. With the ZFX you will have much quicker dry time as that is it's intended purpose.
